It sounded good when I saw the text version of what it was supposed to be. That however looks like anus.

Still waiting for the Price Burger.......A ****ing piece of wall between 2 buns with some mustard.

Pacioretty is going to beat his career high for points this season. He was PPG playing with Galchenyuk. Imagine how many points he would have if he wasn't being tied down by Desharnais for most of the season.

Max should finish in the top 20 for points. Last time anyone from the team cracked the top 20 was Kovalev back in 2007-2008. That's pretty sad..

He should also finish top-5 in goals for the 2nd straight year, when's the last time we had someone do that?

Can anyone tell me why Max's name rarely gets brought up in Selke discussions?

He's top 5 in scoring and best +/- in the NHL by far. Plays the PK, gets last minutes play when protecting a lead and outplays the other teams top lines regularly, hence the amazing +/- stats.

He's the epitome of what a Selke forward is and can score 40 goals. What's the problem here??

Doesn't play center. Even though it's the Bob Gainey award (he was a winger) it goes almost exclusively to a center, and usually one who narrowly misses a Hart / Conn Smythe / Art Ross award in the current season or previously. Complete reputation award. No one pays attention enough to know he's awesome defensively, they'd rather just nominate Bergeron, Toews and Datsyuk.

Max is 3 points away from Top 10 in the scoring race and has caught MVP Rick Nash in points.

Thanks. If anyone of those guys you mentioned had Max's numbers this year, the hockey pundits would have wet themselves with how incredible they are. Max on the other hand almost never gets mentioned. It's one of those wierd hockey things. If he payed in Toronto, TSN and Sportsnet would have pitchforks in hand if he wasn't nominated.

:shakehead

considering that horrific injury that started his career, and the way he has battle backed and improved every year since, I would not judge him, we are still seeing growth in this player, this season his leadership value has increased dramatically and defensive play has been very under rated, considering his +- and how good this teams PK has been. also factor in GWG. Everyone talks about the big two Price and PK but without this guy we are sunk this season. the fact we haven't had a 35 goal scorer in back to back seasons since the last time we won the cup tell it all. Not to mention scoring is tougher in todays NHL as compared to 20 yeas ago. Patches is the real deal and I would make him the captain.

He's now in 2nd place (passed Jamie Benn) for career goals from the 2007 draft with 142. His goal per game average is the 2nd best from the 2007 draft class, and will probably get better.

Logan Couture= 0.368 goals per game in career
Max Pacioretty= 0.363 goals per game in career
Patrick Kane= 0.355 goals per game in career

Now don't get me wrong, I don't think he's a better player than Patrick Kane, but I think he will end up being the best pure goal scorer from that draft class.

Not a bad draft for Montreal, a number one left winger (the best from that class) and 2 number 1 dmen…Too bad we only have one left, but at least we kept the slightly better one :-).

Basically, in two drafts, (2005 and 2007) the Habs drafted 3 top 50 players in the league (2 Top 20)

His numbers are artificially lower too from his being rushed into the NHL before he was ready. Patches had played nearly two seasons before Couture made the NHL.
