How About
Faksa, Guiranov, Diamani, Dellandrea, Bourque a 1st next year and a 1st the Next
for
Tkachuk and Ruzicka

The Stars would have to find Takers for Dobby maybe add a pair of 6th rounders for someone's 7th just to dump the salary.
And find a home for Kiveranta

But the team would be decent overall after that with signing Otter and Robertson

thirty f***ing years of god awful ownership and management will make you feel grateful for doing less but still questionable moves
I mean it was before my time but at least the Islanders had a dynasty. Flames fan has got to be near the bottom for success. We are brethren lol

it was also before my time but the isles "success" as of late literally has been their best moments since the late 80's btw. its baffling. I would say '93, but that was an outlier.

This Twitter thread is wild.

Friedman said that he had heard the rumor about 2OA for Tkachuk but couldn't confirm it shortly after the draft. His exact words were "everyone is denying it" (32 thoughts podcast - Merci Montreal)

But he's now able to confirm it and rather than tweeting this he told this guy? I don't know...

Bourque Dellandra Diamani are damn good Prospects Dallas has to throw in 2 1st round picks to shed alittle pay roll Gurianov and Faksa

Sorry but 2 1st round picks and 3 High end Prospects is a excellent deal

2 1sts, a top prospect in Bourque, a good middle 6 prospect in Dellandrea, and another good middle 6 prospect with top 6 upside in Damiani (AHL rookie of the year last season). 2 1sts, an A prospect, a B+ prospect, and a B prospect plus a young roster forward with potential and a cap dump/depth forward is far from not good lol.

Flames could certainly (and probably will) do worse than that. Knowing Jim Nill though and his love for his prospects and 1st round picks, no chance he'd do that deal.

Are they actually good prospects? I thought the Stars had middling prospects like the Flames. Just seems like a lot of quantity and no quality. I also thing the Stars are making the playoffs or winning a round or more over the next two years

I really want to know what made the Gaudreau contract fall apart last minute. Was it Edwards or Gaudreau that blew it up. I want the full story!

From what I've seen Flames fans say Gaudreau and his wife legit had a change of heart last second about going home because the Flames had match the offer that Gaudreau countered with and their owner apparently flipped out on him which made it easier for Gaudreau to walk to UFA.

Makes no sense. They almost took 2OA and some shit pick but now want more after he's made it clear he's leaving and they've been jilted by Gaudreau?
Difference is that he would come with extension. They did not want to lose Gaudreau through any fault of their own ( Johnny bolts if Tkachuk is traded ) .

None of them are A prospects. Bourque is a decent prospect along the lines of Zary. Damiani is a guy who had a nice 2021 and regressed last year. Likely not an NHLer. Dellandrea is a future 4th liner. I'd rather have Harley or Stankoven honestly.

Bourque is skilled, but he slid in the draft because of attitude, work ethic and his play away from the puck. In other words, not a Flame.

It was Edward's, he snapped at Johnny after the Flames meet all of Gaudreau's demands and Gaudreau still said he going to free agency.

NJ really does make too much sense on numerous levels, including positionally, contract-wise for both teams, and with the family connection. Bratt, Holtz and a 1st, plus potentially both Tatar and Johnsson (if no-movement clause allows) who could be useful scoring depth for one year for Flames (and salary space for NJ) who are then UFA.

I doubt NJ does Bratt, Holtz and a 1st. I would think the core of the package could include Holtz and a 1st though. Likely one of the 2 cap dumps, a 2nd in 24 and a middling prospect that the Flames like.

Ya no way NJ offers all of Bratt Holtz and a 1st.

Did you watch any of Bourque's games in the Memorial Cup? He was downright electric. Think you are selling Dellandrea short as well, but you're probably right to prefer Harley or Stankoven.

You'd have to be high off your ass to give Tkachuk 10.5 aav.
Ya but that's what he's going to demand. The team who gets him has to give him that or he doesn't sign long term.

I doubt he eclipses 10M. Marner got his payday pre flat cap. I think he signs within 250K of 9.5
When big Keith is involved, don't underestimate him. The Tkachuks take the neogtiations to the limit and beyond.

Highly skilled guy. Won't be a fit for the Flames. They are a team that values size, consistent compete and 2 way game. Bourque could pop or bust. High risk high reward player.

How do you think he'd do in the organization with Darryl and having to wait until you're 23 to play?

I don’t think Holtz would be involved as he’s going to fill a major hole on the right wing unless Tkachuk plays RW.

Tkachuk-Hughes-Holtz

That’s the future 1st line for NJ.

1st 23 unprotected, Bratt, Gritsyuk, Wood or Sharangovich, Mukhamadullin

You known more about the flames' style than I do, but I think Bourque absolutely has consistent compete and a good 2 way game. The size obviously not so much, but that hasn't stopped the bread eater from being a good fit. Regardless, I personally don't see Dallas as a great fit for a trade, so it's kind of a moot point.
