OGara (Group 6) is gone on Monday [along with Gilmour (group 6) and apparently Bigras (not QOd)]

Day (drafted higher than Reuanen, Rykov, Gross, Keane, Skinner) and
Ragnarsson (drafted higher than Day, Reuanen, Rykov, Gross, Keane, Skinner)
and Sjalin (trending when healthy) could also be considered promising,

it will even be interesting to see the role Crawley will earn in year 3, with a new staff and evolving roster

Yes, but he still wasn’t great with the puck. Robertson can move it. Not flashy or anything, but he’s an excellent skater that can skate himself out of trouble and get it to the forwards. He has a much better shot, Robertson has a cannon but doesn’t use his shot enough.

I could deal with him not developing offensively, but the one thing I wish he’d have is a mean streak. If he did... yikes. He’d be real scary to play against with that size, speed and ability to close gaps.

It’ll be fun to watch how Robertson proceeds. There was definitely more expectation for offense this year.

It actually seems over, which is why whenever I think of this team since the lottery drawing and a slew of GOOD trades... it's like a state of shock; disbelief.

Not that I am aware.

Admittedly, I dropped him lower in the last two months as well. Not because of anything he did wrong, just that other guys became harder to pass up.

However, him dropping to 49 was a bit surprising to me. I would've guessed the 30s prior to the draft.

The way he's described reminds me of a McDonagh-like ceiling. Any thoughts on that? Just thinking a (fairly) big and mobile defenseman with great defensive instincts, moves the puck well, but not really expected to put up a lot of offense.

e: that's to say, a ceiling that may be unattainable but again the descriptions of his play remind me more of McDonagh than Staal...Staal's injuries certainly hurt his game but he was never particularly known for his skating and his puck moving ability was more in line with ability to make plays in his own end rather than skating the puck out or outlet passes and such.

I get the feeling that in a year's time, this kid is going surpass a lot of the Dmen in the system we think are ahead of him. If he is, "McDonagh-esque", him and Miller are going to make life hell for a lot of RWs in the future.
