Your point watching that’s your problem my friend he brings a lot more than points the fact he has 7 points and 6 goals makes his case even more

Just hoping this isn't a dream and smoke and mirrors but part of me hopes he goes into some sort of slump that allows us to sign him to a team friendly deal. Last thing this team needs is to pay for a methane explosion and then be saddled with an average player after

Doesn’t matter, if we take a look at the bigger picture his stats are even worse. In 93 games he only scored 43 points. Even a dog can bring what he brings to the table, remember Hyman? Just because we lack players that has competitive nature doesn’t mean you go out and give big money to anyone.

That’s the worst thing you can do and why this is struggling massively. With 4 dogshit players making 3-4 mil more than what they should each.

Who would you replace him with on the Matthews line?
Why would you want to replace him is the greater question?
They've been excellent. Once Matthews finds his groove they'll be one of the top lines in the league.

ASAP on this deal. Kyper is just hyper inflating the Market w that Slav comparison. Even if it is true, STFU, mannnn!!! lolllll...

That said, we need a 5 on that 8 year deal to make it a steal in the future. Maybe even that 48M total would be a nice team-friendly ceiling.

It's going to be a anywhere between Jake Neighbours and Lafreniere's contract, short term anywhere between 3M and 4M, or longer-term north of 6M probably. It depends on what kind of season Knies as. They are in zero rush to get an extension for very obvious reasons.

100%.

Knies is easily the 2nd best player on that line, along with Matthews….

;)

Knies needs to be extended ASAP, for the maximum 8 years.

The longer the season goes on the more he's going to make, as he should. He'll probably be the 2nd best player on the top line by the end of the year.

He’s a better player than hyman was at his age not even close actually so if we’re paying for projection I can’t tell you the last time we had a young player like him

It was a hypothetical situation ...

I wouldn't but there was a suggestion for him to drive the 3rd. line to prove himself.
Perhaps to balance the lines, which I wouldn't do anyway.

If that was the case, who would you put with Matthews?

Knies, McMann, Paccioretty the options ... Top 2 lines appear to be working ... why change?

Any of those 3 would work on the top line.
