Well, it doesn't look like there will be much mystery as to how much Knies will be signing for....

Would you advise signing with this train wreck.
When the year started we wanted him for a cup run, then to win the conference, now hopefully we can beat Tampa in round one. Our goals are dropping. He has longterm options.
I love the kid, but our expectations have gone from come and see if you can help our 4th or maybe 3rd line to just PLEASE, help us.
What advise will he get??

He's going to sign with one of the best teams in the league.

That is the advice he will get. And he will do it.

And people with certain takes will look foolish, again.

Foolish...are you watching games...
One of the best teams, yeh top 5 in East maybe..if that is top team.
Sure he will sign, but I am sure there is some concern in his camp that wasn't there 6 weeks ago.

The only concern is in your head.

They left a spot and cap space to sign him. They wouldn't have done that without talking to him.

So the kid now doesn't want to turn pro, and would rather waste 2.5 more years making no money because the Leafs lost a game?

This is a lot of worry over nothing. He would sign to the last place team in the league without hesitation. He's at the next stage I'm his development where he needs to turn pro.

You will hear about it if it happens.
I want him to sign, I want him to impress, not sure his positive attitude is what it was based on what we/he are seeing on the ice today

Wouldn't the fact that there is a clearer path for him to play a meaningful role for us make him even more keen to sign?

Tampa Bay was losing 5 - 0 to the Hurricanes when I last checked. Have they become a tire fire too, in your opinion?

Yeh, their coach reacted and benched the 1st line. We took Kerfoot 0 for 19 and promoted him and watched AM coast around the rink.

The playoff run would also burn a year off of the ELC so there's no reason why Knies would refuse to sign.

We're not the Calgary Flames.

No actually. He benched the first line LAST game, the 5-0 loss was their response. They had 4 shots through the first 2 periods.

We’re fourth in the league dude? Train wreck? Kid has an aaammmaazzzing opportunity to play with highly skilled linemates.

yes Tampa is turning into a tire fire but they have 2 recent cups for the fans to take comfort in…….we have nothing……6 years in a row of first round failure and almost 20 years with a single dam round win

.....yeah Tampa players should get a lot longer rope than ours. Comparing leafs to Tampa is ridiculous. Kucherov has 91 post season games in 5 years while Matthews era has 33 over the same time.
