Knies will almost certainly be their most impactful player in the competitive environment of the NHL playoffs, but he just doesn’t have the a long enough resume to command the type of money mentioned in the OP. He’d be smart to go for a 3 year bridge.If he can get 12 points in the playoff this year he will already be better than Matthews and Nylander. Still not as good as Marner though. Pay him!
