This is the sort of guy you keep, for sure. An actual gamer forward in a Leafs uniform is like a goddamn unicorn at this point.
I want USA to consider their shit playersWhy not? Wouldn't that indicate that he's playing well and isn't that what we hope to see?
I don't know about most people but 7x5 seems fine to me. I don't think the 2m savings is worth it with the cap going up and what he would be projected to make 3 years from now.

I would argue 5 years is long term, even if it isn't the max. I'd prefer 8, but if 5 is on the table I take that.I just want to know why we are the only franchise unable to lock up our young talent to term
He is 22, relax.Games 5-7, 0 points, and -10, 100% agree, fit for the Leafs' playoffs.

I think he is overrated because of his play style, but hoping if it is a bridge, it starts with a 6 and is 5 years.

8x8 would be a happy number for me, basically Slaf.
Every other franchise gets 7 or 8 years. Every one
I missed it, what did he sign for?Every other franchise gets 7 or 8 years. Every one

Till somebody gets traded ,and doesnt get to play with an austen mathews and end stagnating like anthony mantha they might learnsigh I wanted 8x8 so badly.
Rightfully soI'm gonna laugh my ass off when this guy signs for 8Mx3Y and the fans start hating on him too.
