The hit was an easy call, and the suspension is warranted. That being said, I was very happy to see him play an effective game prior to the Heiskanen hit. That’s his path to being a regular NHLer, and even if he isn’t scoring, that’s an effective 4th liner.
He still needs a lot of work, so let him get more time in HFD to build up his stamina and help him learn how to play a consistent game where he’s continuously skating. He should look at how Jordan Martinook plays. That’s a good template for him.
