Devils fans being upset about the incident, honestly, I totally get. That's your guy. I know Stevens and all that, but fans are biased. I get it.

Word of advice, this is not a warning but a suggestion to avoid warnings. I would tread very lightly in the main Rempe thread, maybe even avoid it all together but that’s your choice.

I expect news to be released soon and depending what the punishment is, tempers are going to rise.

If the staff appease the soft idiots that oppose having Rempe in the lineup and sit him out after his suspension it will be a slap in the face to guys like Panarin who were beat down because we were a joke for too long. Having watched the reverse angle I'm less convinced it was a bad hit and more of bad luck as Seg put the brakes on and tried to get away from the hit, Rempe's arm was heading to his shoulder. I for one think the coaches tell him to try and be more careful but not sit him. We finally have a 4th line the likes of the Bruins and Islanders, nobody complains about those guys

Certainly not with that amount of traction and vitriol, people on social media are joking about Rempe’s deceased father over this hit.

He literally brings his elbow closer to his body when making contact, he did the opposite of sticking out his elbow to catch him. Siegenthaler doesn’t brace for the hit and instead stops on a dime and Rempe tries to stop too and catches him. You see worse elbows than this almost every night.

As far as what happened after the hit, I condone it and want more of it. He made MacDermid look like an absolute melvin. I love that he annoys people.

What John Scott was telling Matthew and probably what the Rangers have been telling him is if someone wants to fight him he should choose the time and situation which I agree with. MacDermid can say all kinds of shit but if he wanted it that bad then he should risk taking the extra penalty whether it's instigator and a misconduct or just a minor....it's selfish yep but that's how it goes and the way that Matthew should handle it. The entire point of fighting is to protect yourself or a teammate or otherwise to make it as tactical as possible to benefit your team somehow because otherwise it's just fighting for the hell of it which is pretty useless.

Might as well say Gustafsson's game winning goal doesn't happen without Rempe's screen and the havoc going around the crease. There was the good.....but the elbow right afterwards was the bad. But that's correctable.....and correcting it shouldn't take a thing away from his physical game. He's going run some players over kind of like Bufyglien use to do. That size with his ability to move is going to do that.

One other thing is that when are ref is holding you already and getting you off the ice, 1) who knows what the ref is saying but I assume it's along the lines of "don't you even think about it! you're gonna activate my hernia!" 2) fighting against the ref is gonna make things worse. 3) who gives a **** about Kurtis McDrrrmind?

I thought a hearing means you are automatically suspended and If the hearing is in person the suspension is going to be 5 or more games. Rempe's hearing is not in person so suspension will not be more than 5 games if I understand everything correctly. I think he probably gets a game or two at the most just because he has been involved in so much, so soon. But really don't think he deserves anything because I have seen players do much worse and get NOTHING, not even a penalty minute on the play.

It was a reckless hit and deserves a few games suspension. I don't agree with the fans and coaches saying it was an intent to injur. I hope he learns how to check properly in his 6'7 frame because he would be an unstoppable force.
