Matty Murray was just sent back down and Hidelby was called back up.
Likely just to trying to extend his waiver eligibility and he would be called back up for his next start.
That and 10 games or 30 days on the active roster and Murray would require waivers to go back down.Yeah basically working out the way I thought they might approach this situation.
Keep Woll's 50% ish start share and just platoon the backup so none of the rookies are taxed too hard. Keep the thing rolling, slot in Murray, Hildeby and maybe Akhtyamov and get through the next few weeks without Stollie.

Sending him down now allows us to delay that longer. Especially now as he wouldn’t get another game before the Christmas break.
30 days on the active roster and he will need waivers to go back down. He is unlikely to play tonight or Monday then it’s the Christmas break. Why burn a week of that 30 days when we aren’t going to need himPoor Murray. Why not keep him up and see what happens. I feel bad for him.
It ain’t even that bad for Murray. His pay cheque gets bigger in the AHL as he doesn’t have to pay escrow.Sometimes it is a tough business
