Not every fan is going to like every player.Myself I think he is signed for offence snd Bruins brass is not impressed so far since ink dried if I had to guess.I think Grizz will be a better d man as well in long run if he gets a fair shake.Just my opinion.

Why would they have soured? Not to mention his minutes continue to go up. You don't play big minutes if Claude doesn't like your play. Case in point, spooner, morrow, miller. Not to mention coming off a career year points wise. Regularly in the top of the league in GAA/60.

I agree.

But not as big a problem as Krejci (and Bergeron).

I think it's partly player issues, but more-so on coaching. You saw it struggle last year once people started clamping down mostly on Bergeron. The coaching staff has to recognize that and adjust to changes from opponents.

Hey thats is fair.I will go a bit further and say his numbers could hurt cause others are hurting him.Stronger team he might not have as much on him.But also being fair I watched that kid Grizz close last nite and he looks like he has alot of potential. In time we will see.Krug had a big year under his belt already with 40 plus pts.Do I think he hits that ? NO.But his all around game I am betting exceeds Krugs.

Cause in my opinion they give him that money expecting 10 to 15 goals and 40 pts per year .I could be wrong. His mins are up cause Claude is searching for offence.

I don't buy this.

5 top NHL offensive players should be able to go out against anyone's top 4 defenders and at least get excellent scoring chances. Our guys seem to always bumble it away. Also seems like our great faceoff guys lose a high percentage of those first faceoffs on the PP. Then its a struggle to set up again. Its in their heads.

Krug is by far the best passer on the back end and it is not even close.

Today? Probably. Going forward? It's up for grabs.

I know it's a small sample size when it comes to Griz, but it is known to be a big part of his game. Both can make that tape to tape pass. Both can make that bank-off the board pass that ends up on a teammates stick.

But I think Griz can make a better lead the player pass than Krug. And in a game where closing gaps and giving no space to an opponent in the neutral zone, being able to lead your teammate into a pass has greater success than trying to force a pass to a teammate that will get closed on before he can make a play.

At least when you're leading a teammate with a pass, your getting him in stride, which makes for a faster team. Speed isn't always about skating speed, ya know?

Krug can do it, and like I said, small sample size, but I think in time, with more experience and confidence, Griz will be better at it.

That would be great to see in Boston. Hope he reaches those levels. Boston could use more skill on the backend.

Well said and food for thought for some people. Just because someone does make a pass to a teammate does not mean it was the right play. If they are quickly covered or going be covered its a waste and dangerous. I have seen that a lot with some dee. Call them Suicide passes or whatever but its a wasted breakout with little thinking about 2 steps ahead more or less a panic play. The 'just get it out' should be last resort and its usually done from a standing still player without vision on how to move it better.

One of the biggest differences in the beginning of the year was players were being hit in transition with speed, think the Hawks/Pens style. For years the breakout was either head high, alley opp flip or icing.

They are starting to bring in the guys that can make those passes and need to get guys moving to open spots. Dee need to be quicker, without interference the forwards are on top of them faster then ever and the players are quicker now. Things have to happen fast or they are going be hemmed in, then the running around starts. Being able to skate it out and make the important 1st pass is valuable to the offence and defence.

Weird, why call him up to play two top teams then send him down?

This morning on 98.5 hockey show, Bruins radio color guy and former Bruins Bob Beers said this is something you will see teams doing. They take a player like Grzelcyk who is both 1) playing well in the AHL, and 2) a player who looks to be in their plans and they call him up as BOTH a reward but to learn the best lesson of experience at the NHL level so when he goes back down he will seen the pace and skills that before he could only imagine. He will have real mental data to use and what he may need to work on

Sweeney and JFJ and Dean must be very impressed to schedule him for a home and home against the high flying Penguins and the Ducks who bring in a big skilled forward group

Grzelcyk got tossed in the deep end but came out well. He knows what it's like to play in a hostile environment and before family and friends

He got a hockey education like not many ever do

It didn't occur to me either I probably would be like wtf but it makes sense once explained ang let's us know what they think of his skills

Pretty impressive

Sidenote- the Bull Gang comes out to my right to clean ice, check nets etc and it was interesting how many stood at the glass during play eyes fixed on #48 the entire game

No question he's going to be a player

I don't see why calling him up for a 2 game stint is such a surprise. Let him continue to marinate in the A. He is a part of the future of this team barring a trade.

This call up made zero sense. The Bruins are lacking offence not defence. Nothing against the guy but when your PK is second, and your over all D is 8th, not sure why your fudging with D.

Meanwhile Hayes is on 1 ****ing point in 1/2 a seasons worth of games but this we ignore.

Give it up guys you ****ed up trading for this guy but it's time to cut your loses. Stop wagging the dog.

isn`t he viewed as an offensive defenseman with good speed/mobility and a first pass?

The guy got a taste of the NHL games against two of the stronger teams in the league, he`ll take that info, go down to Providence and work on the areas he needs to for the purpose of being ready when the phone rings again.

I think he was being rewarded for strong play in Providence which I`ve read to be the case and for the B`s to see how his game, thus far, translates to the NHL game. Absolutely no issue with this at all

Some here losing it that Miller and Morrow both scratched while Grizz gets in then up in arms the kid is sent down after two games? Bizarre

What did he have to with K MILLER? PC signed MILLER.

I don't care who signed Kevan Miller I like him. He's metrics are good apparently his +/- very good and he's tough. The hit alone on Emelin was worth the contract

Once again I seem to watch a different game than many of you but dont worry I'm sure it's me

Also had Sweeney had a crystal ball on Carlo I'm not sure he gets the contract

Also II: Miller is a better skater and moves the puck better than my binkie McQuaid

Love Adam but I'm leaning to Miller - high end bottom pair guy
