Today? Probably. Going forward? It's up for grabs.
I know it's a small sample size when it comes to Griz, but it is known to be a big part of his game. Both can make that tape to tape pass. Both can make that bank-off the board pass that ends up on a teammates stick.
But I think Griz can make a better lead the player pass than Krug. And in a game where closing gaps and giving no space to an opponent in the neutral zone, being able to lead your teammate into a pass has greater success than trying to force a pass to a teammate that will get closed on before he can make a play.
At least when you're leading a teammate with a pass, your getting him in stride, which makes for a faster team. Speed isn't always about skating speed, ya know?
Krug can do it, and like I said, small sample size, but I think in time, with more experience and confidence, Griz will be better at it.
