How is his shot? To me he looked quicker than Krug and made some nice passes.

He looked a good deal better to me last night vs Ducks. He got maybe the debut jitters out, and was solid. I didn't miss Morrow as much as I thought I would. Grizz made some really nice breakout passes, was good on the puck and more or less held his own on the defensive end. If he brings that every night and continues to improve he looks like a good choice.

I missed Morrow. Two games on TV is not enough to make my opion very informed. Grizz looks like he needs alot more time in the AHL before he can be considered a NHL talent. I do not think there is room for both him and Krug on the left side

I like Joe Morrow and think he should be playing- and yeah the jury is out on Grizz, but to me he looked better last night than against the Pens, and if he can continue to develop I'm good with it. I think: Chara-Carlo; Krug-Chiller- Morrow-Grizz looks good to me with one of McQuaid/Killer on a rotation for game where a heavier presence is needed.

...

i remember seeing highlights of him scoring with a pretty strong wrist shot. did not see much of that in his first two games. hope to get a glimpse of that soon.

enjoyed his dads interview during the game. "I'm yelling at julien to give him more ice time"

that was awesome...

Looked more confident last night. Jumped into the play more as well. Also shot the puck. This kid is better then Krug. You can see his IQ is at a different level in terms of moving the puck around.

Maybe he is here to see if he can replace. Krug could get a lot more value wise maybe combined with a few others or picks/prospects. I do like Krugs competitive streak and leadership possibilities but something looks like its going happen after the new year. Too many players in to few spots. Its a log jam and to me it looks like we are still auditioning guys. We know what we have with some guys maybe they are being show-cased. Grizz plays like Liles, a good 1st passer with wheels. He was not overwhelmed at all and played 2 very good teams with 2 different styles.

Looks good in a no check league.

He's different, quicker and doesn't have the same shot for starters - let's let him be him and Krug be Krug

Well, we have to work with what we have for the moment. McQuaid and K.Miller (to a lesser extent) are too slow and not that great with the puck. I'd rather have the offensive upside and work to develop the three young puck movers defensively. There is still an upside for them whereas with McQuaid and K.Miller they are what they are. This at least until we develop/acquire a couple of good two-way defensemen.

McQuaid's physical game really put the clamps down on those Anaheim Ducks last night. :sarcasm:

Oh that's right, McQuaid version of physicality was to try and take out the man Krug was already covering and blow his position on the 1st goal.

That being said, there is room for one of McQuaid or Kevan in the line-up, just not both.

Ideally you find an upgraded version of them whose not allergic to making plays and take both out of the line-up, but I'm not holding my breath.

The one Krejci scored? Yeah, what the hell was McQuaid doing?

better than Krug?

While I do not think he is better then Krug yet, I think he will be.I tend to agree in a way with that poster. He certainly looks smarter already.Krug was kept for his offence which so far has been invisable.I think a bit of the reason the Bruins gave him that deal was because the rest of the defence was so bad mysel.Krug is a stick checker who players walk around ALOT.Merry Xmas in Halifax.

Lol He has not played near well enough to justify that contract. Its not even close.I watched Ducks walk right past him last nite 2 or 3 times without any body contact. And just for the record.Tons of players in NHL can make that pass.

Even though he leads their defensemen in scoring (by a lot)? As he did last year?

Yea thats tough on Boston.lol 32 games has 1 goal 14 assists -5

He was not good to start the year, 1-12-13 +3 in his last 19 GP though. If only the other defensemen could be that invisible on offense.

Krug is by far the best passer on the back end and it is not even close.

Not every fan is going to like every player.Myself I think he is signed for offence snd Bruins brass is not impressed so far since ink dried if I had to guess.I think Grizz will be a better d man as well in long run if he gets a fair shake.Just my opinion.
