MZA did look good last night--was one of our better players. Miller was another.
Generally the team played fairly well if you don't count the fact that they didn't score any goals. They had a lot of time in the offensive end, forechecked pretty good--got numerous great chances. Unfortunately this seems part of the script we've all been following since the season began. Forcing the issue--getting frustrated--breaking down here and there occasionally on defense etc. etc. Montreal scoring 47 seconds in on a freaky goal set the stage. This team doesn't know whether to **** or wind its watch.
I missed the game as well, seem like it was ugly... but good to hear JT and MZA had a good showing..Its amazin how much we sucked and we're still in the 8th seed..we have to win tomorrow and then split with pit to keep pace.. ***** getting ugly quick!!
Lines for next year (just messing around but not really):
MZA-Step-Nash
Kreider-Miller-Cally
Hags-Lindberg-Fast (the Swedish House Mafia)
Powe-Boyle-Asham
That's an interesting lineup, I also like the presence of some grit on the 4th, except Boyle![]()
Zuke looked good. I think it's hilarious that he uses the same length stick as Nash!
I know he likes having the extended reach but I wonder if he could stick handle and shoot faster with a shorter stick.
stickhandling is easier with a shorter stick, but shooting faster? no, its easier to shoot with a longer stick
Takes less time to wind up a shorter stick as well as snap a shorter stick. Also easier to line up the puck in to position to shoot.
