They paid a pick to dump him.
Perron is a much more useful player to us than Joseph. Substantially more. We desperately lacked forwards good along the wall, an area that Perron excels at.I liked the Perron signing but it would have been better to just not sign him and keep Joseph instead of paying to dump him.

Gregor replaces Joseph's speedWe also lack players with speed, which Joseph brought and Perron lacks.
It's an incredibly stupid move.
And if you're surprised by this, you haven't listened to SS. Agree or disagree, they definitely disagree with the idea that Joseph=Perron.Perron is a much more useful player to us than Joseph. Substantially more. We desperately lacked forwards good along the wall, an area that Perron excels at.

They just brought in Noah Gregor, who arguably has better speed than Joseph. We also lack players with speed, which Joseph brought and Perron lacks.

He's the Kelly replacement.
Perron replaces Tarasenko, Amadio replaces Joseph.
I like Amadio but he's the opposite of a speedster.
It really doesn't matter where the speed is in the bottom 6. The speed was an asset mainly on the PK, and Gregor will take Joseph's spot there.Gregor is Kelly's replacement on the 4th line, not Joseph's.
