On the last Nilton podcast, he was showing lineups comparison between Montreal and Atlanta/Minnesota without showing names: only player status/contract. It was pretty bad. Half the squad was mostly supplemental with only 1 TAM player in Owusu and our u22 players not playing.
We have too many rookies playing
Neal won't improve our defense
Remember though, to make the playoffs (play in), you only have to be better than 5 other teams. Along with that, the team should be getting healthier the closer we come to starting our stretch of home games, and it wasn't a shocking thing to say before the first game that at least reaching the play in was entirely possible even with the trash we have.
Look at the east.
TFC - Can be better than them.
New England - Can be better than them.
D.C. United - Can be better than them.
Columbus - Can be better than them.
Nashville - Can be better than them.
So while I'm not saying it's a guarantee, in MLS, it's harder to not make the playoffs (play in) than make them.
