Good to know I can always count on you for the pettiest replies!
It wasn't really meant as a petty shot towards yourself per se

But speculating on the Joseph situation did result in 24 hours of high posting volume

It appears to have given a lot of people something to do

Honestly no. I'm sick of everyone trolling each other. I'm sick of the gas-lighting. People need to chill out and stop puffing up their chests online. Enough.

Totally agree. Lots of that going on around here.

God I wish DJ would just say that "this is an internal matter that we'll address behind closed doors" instead of the amateur bs with playing guys he thinks will give us the win
Seems like what he said gave Joseph the ball and let him address the media as he saw fit. I could be wrong, but it seems like a good move.

Athletes violate team rules and end up sat out of games. It happens. Joseph owned it. There's nothing to see here.

Well you do have a $3 million winger who has 2 goals, has been benched and healthy scratched in the first 50 games of his career and looks invisible most games and was only a 4th liner in Tampa and they traded him - so on the surface it’s just a blown curfew but underneath the hood you have an athlete who’s not doing much on a bottom team and is getting benched by the Head Coach for poor play and bad behaviour - so could be nothing or it could be the start of Joseph being a $3 million anchor to this team and another massive trade lose for Dorion.

Joseph could be a Colin Greening thing - he caught a wave for 10 games on his initial Showing and suckered the organization into paying out for a 10 game tease and ends up once he got his money there’s not much hockey sense or desire there to be an impact player

For sure he crop-dusted DJs office and learned his lesson for it

Is it that he's french and messed up his wording or his he saying that he knew ahead of time that what he was going to do was going to bench him a game and he did it anyways?

I don't care lol just curious. I'm going with it's a French mistake.

All I know is Joseph better come out flying tonight. If this whole shit show isn’t motivation to get his act together and prove his detractors wrong, then I don’t know what is.

Sigh. Blocked.
Doesn't blocking people make things unreadable? Like trying to follow a conversation with one of the participants messages not visible?

I always wondered why people block. I'd just argue or ignore and they'll stop.

The main annoyance is that if the ignored poster creates a new thread, you can't see that thread at all, even if other people post in it.

I'm glad it's over (within the organization, at any rate), but.....next time, just say the player isn't ready to be in the lineup. Call him "banged up" or "needing a day of rest" or something like that. Now we're all wondering what did he do and guessing about it.

Sorry, I meant I put the poster on ignore. I'm really at a loss as to why certain posters just seem to only post on here to gas-light and troll. Isn't that exhausting? Do they need more conflict in their lives? I don't get it.
I can argue with buddies about hockey all night and it is never acrimonious or spiteful. It's like there are certain people that just come to the board to spread misery.

Some people definitely use it for chirping and trolling. That's what I use Facebook for lol.

It can be fun too.

I think they do it because their real life is devoid of conflicts so things are boring. Like if your family gets along, your friends get along, everyone at work gets along, you might crave a little bit of entertainment in chaos.

I like arguing but I don't want to argue with people I see in person because things can get awkward.

Here, I just wanna talk hockey.

Farting in peoples offices is a sign of respect in Quebec - if it smells like poutine you can even get promoted

There's no way around it. Transparency is preferred all the while understanding that we are not entitled to know what the issue was.

He probably missed a meeting. I was listening to Dave Poulin and he thinks a one game suspension where the player takes all of the responsibility is most likely a timing issue.

Previous to coming to Ottawa he 18 points one season and 19 points the next season - on the Tampa Bay lighting

His 12 points in 11 games when he got here is what we are paying for, but we traded for an AHL/NHL tweeter and paid him like he’s an established productive 3rd line player

Our GM has a history of getting irrationally excited about small sample sizes. He did it with a couple of goalies in Hammond and Condon, and did it again with Joseph. This guy has been awful - skates well, but has absolutely zero hockey sense...
