Value of: Mathew Barzal to the Western Conference

Calgary would be all in on this.
Western Canadian kid, controlled, age appropriate for what we're trying to do, right handed centre.

Not sure what that trade would look like from a Flames perspective. The OP is way under value.

In all honesty, Calgary has a total of 1 player I want on the Isles but there’s no way I’m giving up Barzal for a just about unproven winger.

Chicago would be ideal landing spot for Barzal. They have picks plus prospects to offer and cap to make him fit. Barzal with Bedard would be mutually beneficial

That doesn’t help the Isles at all unless that 2025 1st (Chicago’s pick) is unprotected to start.

He said essentially “he’s never seen a player do so much hard work and puck handling and cut backs and skating , but that seems to always end up with a complete nothing play at the end of it”

McAvoy+Geekie for Barzal+Mayfield?
Bruins need offensive skill badly and #1 centers don't hit the trade market often. Losing McAvoy would hurt but gotta give to get.
