Mason McTavish - One of the greatest plays in WJC history?

Garand looked a bit rattled after the tying goal, he should have hung on to that one

This Post game Wikipedia edit someone did says it all. He is the Minster of Defence!

I think it's right up there with the Eberle goal from a Canada perspective. IIRC, Russia should have finished off that game with a fairly easy empty netter and could not do so (around 30-40 seconds before the goal). Which added to the drama of that Eberle goal.

If we add other countries, I still can't think of one (especially since it's one play and not a multi-goal comeback) but perhaps someone will bring up a strong challenger.

Obviously he didn't score the goal but that play, the difficulty of it with the puck in that spot under those circumstances...has to be one of the best plays I've ever seen at the juniors.

Agree/Disagree?
Bedard's stick was there too and the puck wasn't going to go in unless McTavish knocks it over Bedards stick.
