Movies: Marvel Cinematic Universe Discussion - Part 4

  • We sincerely apologize for the extended downtime. Our hosting provider, XenForo Cloud, encountered a major issue with their backup system, which unfortunately resulted in the loss of some critical data from the past year.

    What This Means for You:

    • If you created an account after March 2024, it no longer exists. You will need to sign up again to access the forum.
    • If you registered before March 2024 but changed your email, username, or password in the past year, those changes were lost. You’ll need to update your account details manually once you're logged in.
    • Threads and posts created within the last year have been restored.

Our team is working with Xenforo Cloud to recover data using backups, sitemaps, and other available resources. We know this is frustrating, and we deeply regret the impact on our community. We are taking steps with Xenforo Cloud to ensure this never happens again. This is work in progress. Thank you for your patience and support as we work through this.

Taylor is actually a good fit for a superhero role as she looks tall when she is in movies and it wouldn't put a lot of demands on her acting wise.

Multiverse of Madness was a 6/10 movie for me so I’m sure there’s many valid criticisms in there nonetheless

They fell into the trap of introducing too many characters.

"Hey, here's this new girl who can warp through dimensions. Yeah, she's just a plot device who appeared out of nowhere."

"Hey, here's a huge supergroup of superheroes that comic book nerds are going to ejaculate over. Guess what, they're all dead now! See how tough Scarlet Witch is? Crazy. Anyway, moving along."

All a by product of the Chapek-era. He wanted quantity over quality, especially on Disney+ from all studios and placed his banker buddies as middlemen. When Iger returned, all those middlemen were fired and the "dogma" was returned to quality over quantity. Clearly evidenced by Feige ordering the re-shoots on Cap 4 and re-styling of DD: Björn Again (I refuse to not call it that). If Feige had had all the power, those characters would've been most likely introduced slower and better.

The truth of that hinges on this next round of movies being close in quality to the Infinity War Saga (which I’ll bet my life savings it won’t come close to)

I can't watch Youtube until I get off work but I'm assuming that video covers the announced 'Doomsday' cast?

Chris Hemsworth as Thor; Anthony Mackie as Sam Wilson/Falcon; Sebastian Stan as Bucky Barnes/Winter Soldier; and Paul Rudd as Ant-Man are among the first batch of returning Avengers.

Meanwhile, new superheroes joining the Avengers ensemble include Simu Liu’s Shang-Chi, Letitia Wright’s Shuri, Tenoch Huerta Mejía’s Black Panther: Wakanda Forever antagonist Namor, Kelsey Grammer’s Hank McCoy/Beast, and Florence Pugh’s Yelena Belova.

Ebon Moss-Bachrach and Vanessa Kirby, who will star as Ben Grimm/The Thing and Sue Storm/Invisible Woman in the new Fantastic Four: First Steps, out July 25, are also joining the Avengers line-up.

It's still going.

I think they're doing this as a reference to the Captain America post-credit scene in one of the Spider-Man films. Clearly done with social media in mind and I read more than 7 million people are viewing it on various platforms so it clearly worked.

Edit: Hannah John-Kamen just revealed, Winston Duke released before her. I expect Iman Vellani to at least be announced still.

Edit2: Tom Hiddleston announced.

Edit3: Apparently could be 45 names announced!
