They didn't screw the Rangers, it's naive to expect the NHL/NBC to re-schedule a game for personal reasons.

I agree. I was pretty surprised by the backlash of many fans. I see both points of view, but I definitely see why it wasn't moved. Yes, it would have been a nice gesture, but I harbor no ill will towards the NHL/NBC.

Well you should harbor ill will, because it's Pejorative Slured to have any NHL game in the early afternoon, let alone a conference finals playoff game. Pro hockey is meant to be played at night, it makes no sense - NBC sports would have so much better ratings in the evening. The game should have been at night in the first place

The NHL televises all playoff games through NBC. I feel that we are lucky a network even does this. The Preakness is on at 4:30 they had to work around that. Marty was able to move the funeral and maybe it even gives them an extra thing to play for. In the end it's a non story.

You feel lucky? They should put the games in primetime, then maybe you should feel lucky. Nobody is going to be watching at 1 pm, including me because I'll be with the kids

If i recall correctly, the Preakness is on in the late afternoon, so it might be conlficting with that. Also, it being a Conference Final game, although, it is less than ideal, I agree with you there, I don't see what the huge deal is. It is a weekend, so a majority can catch the game. Personally I won't cuz I'll be at ****ing work haha.
The scheduling sucks firstly, but to have it moved due to MSL is just not ahppening.

The fact almost every kid in tri state area has baseball or travel soccer means nothing ? Hockey is a night sport not to say days are bad in January lol it was sure selfish of the nhl to use the St. Louis tragedy for their gain ?

Does that mean there won't be a Gary Bettman signing at your bar?

Is it me or has MSL made this team much more likeable

It must be you. The team was always likeable.

His presence has been a complete non-factor. But as I perceive it would be in poor taste to post anything negative about him at this time, I will just stop there.

Complete non-factor. Interesting take.

Uhhh....what? This post is a complete non-factor in the discussion of a player who has been a difference maker in more ways than one. But hey, reality must also be a non-factor.
