I'd like to know where it was said it was likely SJ was going to offersheet him. Offersheets are very rare, especially tog goalies. I think only one goalie ever has been offersheeted, and that was 20 years ago.

Little late to the discussion, but it seems like the "threat of an offer sheet" was the operative term which led to Dougie Hamilton being traded. Boston might have felt the squeeze again if they weren't prepared to match an offer sheet on somebody who amounted to their backup to Rask. Wilson did sign Niklas Hjalmarsson to an offer sheet in 2010, so that at least showed he's a GM willing to do it.

I was at the Draft and took this picture of Doug Wilson and Glen Sather chatting before Round 2 started. They talked for a solid five minutes and I could only make an educated guess that it was about Cam Talbot. Maybe an hour later, the Rangers moved Talbot to Edmonton.
