Ottawa/San Jose/LA/Sabres all beat that offerBailey, Wahlstrom, Clutterbuck, Rights to Mayfield. That's pretty decent.
Leafs take that and run. No way Ottawa does that. Elite winger, mid-20s, with only 2 years left on his contract, for a young cheaper #1 center locked up long term.Stutzle

This forum has a ton of meatheads who don't even know how to read posts properly, who take things out of context and misinterpret posts constantly. It absolutely needs to be pointed out. Even if you do point it out, you're likely to have your post misinterpreted anyways. Lol.Like I said in the previous post.
This is not 1v1, merely a base. Toronto adds and that does not need to be pointed out.
IF Ottawa was serious about doing a trade based on Stutzle and Marner, the Leafs should absolutely be interested in that and do whatever they can to get it done without badly overpaying.Stutzle
Yeah NO.Stutzle
Woah what, why is Marner being offered up?What's your best offer for Marner?
Some Leafs fans believe that Matthews and Marner need to be traded. Others think Nylander should be traded too. A few people want Rielly gone, but I think it's a minority. MANY people want Tavares gone, but he won't accept a trade and his contract is buyout-proof.Woah what, why is Marner being offered up?
Marner is Toronto’s best PKer.
Stutzle
Actually....Bob is YOUR uncle.IF Ottawa was serious about doing a trade based on Stutzle and Marner, the Leafs should absolutely be interested in that and do whatever they can to get it done without badly overpaying.
I guess their top 6 would look like
Tkachuk - Norris - Marner
DeBrincat - Giroux - Batherson
and if things develop well with Pinto, he can move into Giroux's spot eventually and Giroux can move to 3rd line C or RW as he gets older.
Maybe they want Samsonov? I think trading Marner and Samsonov and some third piece that isn't a 1st round pick or top prospect for Stutzle would be a bold but reasonable move from the Leafs. They might be asking to swap Brannstrom for McCabe or asking for Minten.
I think giving Marner + Samsonov + McCabe + Minten for Stutzle + Brannstrom is a lot to give up for the Leafs. On the other hand, we're talking about acquiring a young stud 1C locked up on a long term contract. It would be easier to pull the trigger on if it was McCabe/Brannstrom OR Minten, not both, but maybe both is still worth it for the Leafs. Stutzle would be a Leaf until 2031.
This is where I start rambling, fair warning :
You have Matthews Stutzle Tavares down the middle, with weaker wingers and weaker D than before, but then you trade Matthews for a winger and defenseman and a 1st / good prospect. This is getting kind of off topic now but I saw somebody say Matthews for Necas Pesce 1st prospect.
Matthews Marner becomes Stutzle Necas
McCabe (open roster spot) becomes Pesce Brannstrom
Samsonov becomes (open roster spot) ---> Woll becomes full time NHLer
Matt Murray can be bought out / dumped and replaced with a UFA
Leafs also added a 1st and a good prospect in the Matthews trade
Bob's your uncle.
MARNERThe best offer needs to be from a team with a glut of quality, young d-men who desperately need a PPG winger.
lol. I didn't say MontrealMARNER
GIORDANO
for
DVORAK
EVANS
GUHLE
SAVARD
Filip Mesar or Owen Beck
Fü*k no!Stutzle
Like I said in the previous post.

That offer is Garbage lol.The draft is in Nashville this year, and the host team usually makes a big trade, or at least, medium sized.
DUCHENE
McCARRON
Joakim Kemell
for
MARNER
Is the value way off there? I can't tell. Nashville probably doesn't do it, if they don't think they can extend Marner in 2025.
