Duszak not playing in the most important game of the season. He better be hurt otherwise Moore is lost.
If Marlies lose in regulation, it needs to be Moore's last game coaching this team.

Nothing like having Duszak on the 4th line the past two games either...

We are team that lacks RD to the point where we needed to play LD at RD despite them not being great at RD but yet we put one of the top RD in the aHL at 4RW when he has not shown any kind of aptitude as a forward at all and is playing over a number of very capable forwards who can play at 4RW in his stead.

Gotta love Joey Anderson playing 4 games in 4 days too.

If we are being honest, this is one of those years i don't mind seeing the Marlies miss. Very few prospects on this team we are looking to get playoff experience for. Bring up what we can for black aces in the playoffs and move on.

Rochester have an exciting young roster to bring to the playoff party.

4-1 now and that should be the end of Moore. Even in an expanded format and a good roster, he can't get them in. Embarrassing coaching. Sitting your best offensive d man is the cherry on top.

Marlies lose 5-2. Impressive work by Moore. Single handidly ruined a franchise who is used to winning. You know your AHL coach is bad when even twitter folks want him gone.

Pretty awful performance. I don't know how he keeps his job. Ryan Hardy probably won't fire him though.

I'll give him some slack where they had a lot of injuries, especially the goaltending. But I think even when the team was relatively healthy they just were not very consistent.

I think there are many great coaches that would love a shot at coaching the Marlies while they wait for a NHL call. I mentioned him before but I think Travis Green would be a good one.

No idea what happens, and he was screwed by a stronger division I guess, but this is the best win percentage year he has had as a coach (by far) and he still missed the playoffs.

Ryan Hardy has some work to do on defense but it is the coach's job to maximize the roster and he came nowhere close to that.

At least this should be the last time I have to see Kivihalme play anywhere close to this lineup. He was so bad for 3 years straight... I have no idea how he got a 2 year extension in the first place, and then continued to get trotted out as a guy even as he progressively got worse.

He's a good one. I know he's with Seattle as an assistant so unlikely but Jay Leach is a strong option. Highly regarded AHL head coach.
Could just promote Snowden which I'm in favor of too.

Just saw on twitter but the average age this season was same as the 18/19 team and Keefe got that team to the conference finals.

I don't think they go external. I think they add a few quality veterans to support the crop of higher end prospects and give Moore a couple of months to prove that he can be a legitimate AHL coach. That means more than just winning too; it means showing consistency and structure. Neither have happened since Moore took over.

If Moore sucks, he gets fired and Snowden or Eric Wellwood take over.

AHL playoffs are a great experience for prospect development. Very disappointing. No doubt Moore should be fired

I would say success at the NHL level for an organization is often shown be success at an AHL level (logical).

The Leafs have shown a willingness to spend on AHL talent and the team in general. I hope they value AHL success as much or similarly as I do. This season needs to be heavily analyzed and remove any defective parts (coach, I only watched a dozen games this season and none in person)

I love some of the build-up and support on the Marlies world class training facility more coaches and specialized coaches than most AHL teams I hope the organization continues to build on this foundation in the future. Look at the players that have come up with the Marlies, heck just look at the ones doing well on other teams then add the ones doing well on the Leafs. Many not so high draft picks succeeding. A very good trend that I hope continues (not including this season's contribution)

Okay, I think the fans have seen enough of Greg Moore. This is supposed to be winning a franchise. Make the switch already. Stop forcing the fans to watch Greg Moore coached teams. I've never seen a coach come in for this long and suck and he doesn't get fired. The AHL is a development league, but the Marlies haven't been rebuilding for 3 years. Keefe was doing fine with the roster Moore couldn't win with. The Marlies have more resources than any other team to make the group competitive. They shouldn't ever miss the playoffs in a regular format, let alone an expanded one, let alone 3 years consecutively.

The fans have been calling for this for awhile. I wonder what Moore has on Dubas. It's annoying, I hate watching bad hockey teams for no reason. If they couldn't figure out that he was bad after the first two seasons, then they may need to replace the Marlies GM too. That's bizarre evaluating skills.

They already did. The new one is Moore's GM from the USHL.

I don't have an issue with Hardy at this point, and I don't think it is his decision to fire Moore anyways. At least not his alone.

These highlights are pretty telling though. All three goals against just make you wonder how guys can still be this bad at making defensive decisions and defending in general.

I think they really tried to be cute and pull Greg Moore from the USHL like Dubas did Keefe from way back to flex some foresight ability reputation he thinks he has in finding the next great coach. As a result he's held on to him for way too long, reluctant to admit he was completely wrong.

I mean, don't they say that the head coaching job for the Marlies is probably the number one best coaching gig you could possibly get outside the NHL? It would make it like the 33rd best head coaching job in the world. Greg Moore had one season and 15 or so games of head coaching experience in the USHL, and we pluck him for the 33rd best head coaching gig in the world? What were they thinking?

Maybe I'm completely wrong on all of this but that's the impression I have.
