Is there any sense of Anthony Stolarz’s proximity to a return?

Berube: He is on the ice moving around. Next week, he might get more active in the net and start moving and going up and down. We have to take it day-to-day. It is all about how he feels and where he is at with his movement.

He is on track, so he is doing well.

My guess is he returns Feb 4th or 6th. That's 3-4 games from now. We'll be fine.

Noting, we could call up Murray, and as long as he doesn't dress for 10 games, or longer than 30 days, he won't require waivers... forgot about that rule.

And keeping in mind that 10 game/30 day rule is cumulatively, not consecutively, so the 5 days and 4 games he's already been up for since clearing waivers would eat into that

But as long as Stolarz is back early February, we should be fine keeping him up without needing waivers again (he just then wouldn't be able to be yo-yoed for the rest of the season, either)

So with Benoit, Timmins, Rielly and Myers basically doing very badly...maybe we need to check internally before we go externally?

We've put in a lot of development time with Kokkonen and Niemela...and Benning is there. We should try to internal first before we spend assets for fix this.

I wonder if Benning is a end of season add/black aces?
If he gets called up early is he exposed to waivers?

I believe we can recall him for a certain amount of games/days on our roster before waiver requirements would kick back in.

I wouldn't sweat this either way, if he comes up and is good, fantastic, problem solved. If he requires waivers again and we put him on waivers, it is because he did not meet expectations so the 100k or whatever that would count on our cap when he's in the minors disappears off the books and we gain a contract spot.
