Really good deals for both!

Pierre LeBrun @Real_ESPNLeBrun
Marleau's 3-year deal is worth $6.66 M a year AAV; Thornton's deal is $6.75 M a year AAV.

Bob McKenzie @TSNBobMcKenzie
"@Real_ESPNLeBrun: Marleau's 3-year deal is worth $6.66 M a year; Thornton's deal is $6.75 M a year."/SJ continues to get bang for buck.

Thornton's new deal also has a NMC (obviously), not sure about Marleau's yet.

 Yesssssss. Love it. Truly Love it :highclap:

I think the pending UFAs will probably be dealt with first. If the Sharks are going to keep Boyle, I think he will be next.

I have a feeling we're not going to keep Boyle around unless he takes a sizable pay cut. Our other UFAs are Brown, Hannan and Kearns which aren't exactly big priorities.

Niemi is UFA after next season, if we plan on keeping him long term we're probably going to have to give him an extension sooner rather than later as well considering DW's track record of not letting guys get to FA that he wants to keep.

Same with Braun. He's UFA next summer, and we usually see DW extend guys one year early. SO I'd expect a Braun extension this summer.
