Yes ,I agree that this trade can't be fully judged yet.I have had some say good things and another poster bad things about Dean.I don't get to see him play so I ask those that see him live.

I think most of the damage was caused by the cross-check to the head! If you watch the fight he didn't have nearly the coordination from the get go that he usually does.

McQuaid is a prime example of this. Guy is one of the most quiet, soft spoken guys in the game and would rip your face off and eat it on the ice.

Good face-off player, but he's not a strong enough defensive player to play in the middle of the ice IMO. He's not a shutdown defensive center.

I want him as on RW taking face-offs on his strong side and subbing in when the C gets tossed. His best asset is his forechecking ability and his skating, he can better terrorize opposing D-men on the wing with less responsibility up the middle.

On a deep team he's a #12, but that's a strong team.
