Mario "relying on the PP"?

What is the breakdown for other seasons were he missed games or are these 2 seasons the outliers or absolute peaks?

I will try to look at other season with a significant amount of random unplayed game (due to injury and not due to skip 2 games in 2 night scenario) and for other stars that missed but also played a lot of game in a short period of year's.

Gretzky did not missed much time during is prime and would make a similar look at it maybe impossible, but I can try to see. Is 89-90 -18 despite scoring over 2 points a game performance could tell a different story.

Thanks as everything does add to the picture but I think the ESGF/ESGA and R-on, R-off numbers don't help Mario in the argument for the Big 4.

Also like I said in my example I don't expect Crosby to have a 5-0 record upon his return with the Pens either.

Would be curious to see said number (specially before he started bleeding goals, say from 87 to 93), is there a place to find such numbers going back where they are not on nhl.com ?
