Lightly protected 2026 1st and as many of the 2026 2nds as we can squeeze out. What would be the ask from Utah?
Fair enoughTuch is also a better, more well-rounded player than Peterka. And the Sabres have youth coming out the ass—we’ve been the youngest team in the NHL for years, and look how much good that’s done us. We need more dudes like Tuch, not less.
Edit: plus, if we’re trading for someone like Rossi, it’s youth-in, youth-out.
What about Danielson? I proposed that on the Wild board as I think he fits the Wild team composition a bit better while Rossi helps move the timeline up a bit in Detroit.Rasmussen + Soderblom + 2nd. Y'all can collect giant players
I would personally do it but I doubt Yzerman does as he likes hoarding his top prospects. What about Danielson? I proposed that on the Wild board as I think he fits the Wild team composition a bit better while Rossi helps move the timeline up a bit in Detroit.

Wood + Vegas' 1st?
We have our winner.....imo.Larkin for Rossi + 2026 unconditional first
Because it's stupid on Detroit's end lol.Hard to beat this
I would certainly consider that, but I’m 99% sure that it would need to be stupid offer for BA to trade But.
I would trade next years pick top-5 protected and 2 2nds next year for Rossi easily. I just think that offer would get beaten by other teams, considering that Utah will most likely take steps forward rather than backwards
As a Wild fan, I agree, but Hynes reduced their 2nd leading scorer to 4th line, 11 min. TOI during the playoffs. Luminaries such as Freddy Gaudreau(0 points, 2 SOG) were played above him, and got 14 1/2 minutes per night, while winning 39% FO.
Rossi had 3 points whille lugging Brazeau and Trenin around on the ice, 49% FO, in his first playoff series. Kaprizov had the same amount of playoff points at the same age.
Wild clearly don't want Rossi. Makes no sense to me, as they need forwards who can score, badly. I understand he isn't a perfect player, but he scores, works hard, and hasn't even reached his prime yet.
If Rossi was available I could see the habs being in and trading some valuable guysI would certainly consider that, but I’m 99% sure that it would need to be stupid offer for BA to trade But.

Is it forward or D the wild need anyway?Personally I don't see how a 2026 1st and a couple 2026 2nds is interesting to a team that's basically entering a win-now window. Unless the plan is to keep a lot of open cap space and use them at the deadline next year, we're gonna need pieces that are more NHL ready. It would have to be something around the 2025 1st, But+, or Hayton/Doan+ for me to be interested.
What do you think it would take to bring him to Toronto?
because not going to lie I am concerned about his size but like I said they do need a future 2nd line center because Tavares is 34.
I think if they could add 23 year old Rossi to 22 year old Knies that would be a pretty good combo to build around when you consider Matthews is still only 27.

I think sometimes HF gets locked on to, "We don't need picks" without considering that they can be flipped.
Don’t sleep on the incoming Cowan + McMann offersAny offer Toronto puts together is gonna get beat, the assets aren't there
Don’t sleep on the incoming Cowan + McMann offers
Right, but look at what 2 months of 33yo Brock Nelson just cost at the deadline… I’m personally not interested in trading Rossi for futures, and then having to add to all of those assets just for a rental.I think sometimes HF gets locked on to, "We don't need picks" without considering that they can be flipped.
Nobody trades a piece like Rossi for assets they'll need to flip, they trade Rossi for what they want. If you don't have what they want, you don't get him.
Then don't plan on getting maximum value lol.
