Di Marco was on 690 today said Wild Rossi is available. He mentioned Wild interested in Flyers Farabee. What would Wild want from Montreal for Rossi?
So the Wild are in second place in the Western conference and are going to trade their top line C on an entry level contract for what exactly, a more expensive player at a position they don't need and that won't fit under the cap?

If Montreal would be willing to move Suzuki the Wild would be dumb not to include him in a package.

Rossi, Faber, Yurov and 1st 2025 for Suzuki and Matheson
Suzuki and Matheson combined don't even get you a Faber, nm Rossi and a first too, wow 🤣

A ridiculous offer, countered by a ridiculous take.

Both extremes of the Trade Boards spectrum, a couple posts apart, that's something else.

Suzuki not going no where. Rossi is small
Suzuki is small, Rossi is tiny, lol, but yes, I cannot see Suzuki going anywhere. Faber is a total stud though, you have to admit Hughes couldn't get him straight up for NS, no?

Not saying it wouldn't be close, but I don't hold Matheson in very high regard, perhaps unfairly and like it or not Faber is more valuable than Suzuki any day of the week, easily

Ya, that's perplexing. Gotta be Marco's size then and Guerin just not liking that long term?? 🤷‍♂️

It's likely nothing beyond the guy regurgitating Russo's soft rumor from the summer that they may not be convinced on him long term once his ELC is up.

There is zero chance he's available as we stand here today.

Ah, so noted Minnesota Wild expert, Di Marco, has insights on Marco Rossi that the Wild writers like Mike Russo do not?

Sounds more like a guy filling air time.

Well never say never, knowing the game Guerin played I could see him not wanting a kid Rossi's size as his 1C on a big long deal, rightly or wrongly. Come playoff time, when the whistles go away, it could be a struggle. If Ehlers and Necas didn't go, I can't imagine he will either

The reality is that JEE is the #1C on the team, and that Hynes has chosen to split up his top 6 talent into two lines rather than run Kaprizov-JEE-Boldy like they did last year. Rossi is doing well as a young top 6C. I can't imagine him being traded for anything other than a similar talent, with a similar age, and a team friendly contract like he has.

Agreed, cant see anyone coughing up what it would/should take. Rossi's offensive ceiling is sky high, so I think long term he ends up with Kap, cause the 2 of them could make absolute magic 🤤

Ok, but they still have his rights and can trade him in the off-season. Do you know of any top 6 centers better than Rossi with a cap hit under 3M that would be traded the other way? Because otherwise it makes zero sense for the Wild

The Suter and Parise buyouts reduce dramatically next season, so they'll have piles of cap space. Where did you get 3m from though, I'm missing the significance of that number and Rossi will likely need alot more than that. His ELC is a 864k hit and he's a pending rfa

Long term I suspect they are betting Yuro takes that spot next to Kaprizov. If Rossi needs to shift to wing because they somehow found good C depth after 25 years in the league, great. He can line up across from Boldy or be Zuccerellos replacement.
