The Department of Player Safety will be reviewing the Brad Marchand slew foot, per a source.

Not sure if legit, he'll get 2 or 3 for sure i would assume.

Double whammy, could have cracked Stepan's skull or broken his legs or both. He's already been fined for slewfooting Matt Nisknanen so this is worth at least 2 games +.

That seems really fast for that info to come out doesn't it?

Players are hit right before getting the puck on the boards all the time and there's no cross check? Quit being so dramatic.

Bad slewfoot and that's it. He'll sit for a few games.

If Marchand got 6 games for the clean hip check on Salo, they'll probably give him 20 games for this cheap move.

On the positive, Brendan Shanahan is out of power, so maybe he won't get the requisite extra 3 games for being a Bruin that always came when he made decisions.

Everyone hates the guy but he does his job well. He knows he is a POS so he embraces it.

Every team in the league would be happy to have him.

Who knows with the Dept of Player Safety.

We all agree he's getting something though. How much is another story.

Like I said, I ain't even mad at Marchand. I just wanna know what kind of hallucinations the referee is having.

It was a slew foot, I don't think it was intentional though, trying to be as unbiased either way here but I think the initial contact of the hips sent Marshy off balance, thats why his right leg lifted up that way, only reason why I could see it not being called.

There's literally no such thing as an intentional slewfoot?

I'm convinced it wasn't called since they were already killing off a bad call on the Seidenberg penalty.

Regardless, you gotta call that ref. That's bad. Too many make up calls and make up non calls this season

Amazing Brad Marchand of all people would do something like that.

Oh so just a slewfoot and interference then. Sincerest apologies.

could call high sticking and boarding if you wanted as well...

in any case suffice to say that Marchand clearly intended to hurt brassard in this case and he is lucky he did not... 8 games IMO

Marchand is a good pest but he crosses the line and this is not his first offence doing so... he plays like a coward at times

Maybe he'll get a call, maybe not.

Regardless I don't think someone in the press box saying " I bet the league gives him a call" is a source. :shakehead

I don't believe in make-up calls. You're telling me the same ref is making up for what he just called? If they thought it was a bad call, they wouldn't have made it in the first place.

He had a vision Marchand, Julien, and 20K screaming Boston fans, and thought twice about putting his arm up.

The biggest problem with NHL officials in my mind is their situational officiating. I never works, just creates inconsistency and confusion.
