I was at home today so I decided to take in a little basketball, even though I don't particularly find it appealing to watch.

I still feel this way. But a few games were really close, and that made it bit entertaining.

I detest March Madness and people suddenly caring about basketball.

To me, it's the same thing as all of a sudden being extremely interested in Olympic sports like Skeleton and Swimming every 4 years, or people all of a sudden cheering for one team because it's the Superbowl, even though they aren't football fans.

Who cares, it's entertainment after all.

March Madness is one of the greatest tournaments in sports, basketball is a great sport especially the NCAA.
