Signing Simmonds isn't the issue here. He provided some value in the past, and he's at a number that can be buried. But playing Simmonds at the tail end of his contract as we gear up for the playoffs when he's proven that he can't handle the NHL anymore is a questionable decision by Keefe. Simmonds should never see the ice in the playoffs, so not sure why we're playing him now. There were other options that could have played instead of him.
