That's not always how it works. Hockey is a sport where randomness plays a much larger role in determining the outcome of a game. The Leafs score 5-6 goals 9 times out of ten if they play like this going forward.

Thing is, we have played like this and it hasn’t resulted in goals
Detroit we put 45 shots… 2 goals
Florida we put 40+ shots…2 goals
Carolina we put 44 shots…3 goals
Columbus we put 49 shots…3 goals

That’s 4 times in the past month we’ve “dominated” and yet come up short

For a team build on high end scoring, the Leafs get goalied… a lot. I’d summarize my thoughts as shot attempt volume and shots on net are not always representative of a dominant effort.

Eh. They are about to win a game where the top six only contributed an empty net goal and the opposing goalie put up a .940. I'm frankly not worried at all.

Woll probably should have had the 2nd goal.

Don't disagree that the second line hasn't been clicking though. Imo most of the guys are looking to Game 1 and it shows

Tampa ramping up last week has me a little anxious, but the psychology of this team has ways given me trouble so we’ll see!
