I think it’s two things. Keefe is trying to keep as many guys fresh and playing especially on the back end. But it’s very clear that the O’Reilly injury has flustered the coaching staff.

Secondly not having Schenn available has also screwed things up.

Lastly it’s very evident they are waiting for the arrival of Matthew Knies.

There’s no continuity because they are waiting on 3 pieces they believe will be big for their playoff push.

So in other words this team is a mess heading towards the playoffs

Basically. I don’t think there’s a ton of trust in their AHL depth. I’m not sure why Simmonds or Clifford are not being given a shot right now.

But ultimately they’ve clearly held that LW spot for Knies. ROR will Center his own line and I think Schenn will be playing in the playoffs over Liljegren based on Keefe’s comments.

On tnt... saying Matthews tied with Eddie olczyk now for most 30 goal and 30 assist seasons at 4... a bunch ahead of him still of course. The top guys sittler with 9... Sundin 10.

If Matthews signs he'll be up there with them. Have to think those type of things would want a guy going .. yeah I'll beat that.
