Maple Leafs Uniform and Jersey Concepts Thread

I'd say my favourite are the 00-07 except for the webbing, so these with updated collars and no webbing on the sides (always disliked the look). And I actually always like the TML on the shoulders. Nice abbreviation and how they fit it together is just heart arming. The font is better (especially with the trim), and that alternate has always been my favourite.

Although the 92-97 jerseys will always hold a spot in my heart. My all time favourite are the St. Pats it should be law to wear them if we play on St. Patrick's day.

Look how smexy these are, rock the green on St. Pats night.

I like the the 00-07 versions because of the cool TML alternate logo and the double trim lines on the numbers. But it would had been better if it the number font was the same as the letter font for that one back then:

Man you are just hung up on the font.

Honestly I was never a big fan of 97-00 number font, I think the current name font might work with the 00-07 number font. If that's what you were going for, maybe the 07-08 and the 08-10? Either way the 00-07 numbers look the best like that, but I don't think the font needs as much attention to. I simple bold font would look good. Clean and simple is the best for fonts.

I don't like the "blocky" maple leaf. Any design with that instead of the leaf with veins is bad in my opinion.

True. But that's my opinion, and I expect respect from you guys, just like I respect other people's opinions and posts and stuff.

I believe you're the only one who holds that opinion. Besides 1997-2000 the leafs through their entire history have used block numbering. I can't stand the curved numbers. It's not Maple Leafs. There's a reason in my mind that they went away from it quick and never looked back.

Love our jerseys. The one thing I would tweak would be to remove the names from the backs of our alt jerseys

I like the current block font. It has a nice sober simplicity to it that's a nice change from the outlined and silver outlined and art deco variants from the past 15 years. A tweak in a few years might also be appropriate. I wonder how some of those super modern BPL fonts might look in a few years. Otherwise the patterning is jut fine.

I like all four of our jerseys for this upcoming season, the fourth being the WC.

Please don't change them.

I know a lot of people hated the old 80's ones, but with a nice modern refresh it could be quite nice. Just need some forward thinking designer to tweak it maybe.

The more streamlined Toronto Marlies thirds aren't too bad, as a general design for any hockey team, but the problem is why use that pattern when we have such better uniforms and those are associated with such a bad time in our history?

Its difficult to decide on which maple leaf to go with for me because i've always loved the norway maple leaf. The norway maple is an invasive species that shades out the competition, but it's becoming a simple and boring design.
Whereas the 47? point leaf design is continually growing on me. Does this number have any significance?
I've always thought about designing a more modern looking leaf with some style. maybe a silver maple? green and silver colours? silver maples are ugly when they're young but look amazing when they're older lol..
