The arrival of Murray and the Toronto Maple Leafs at Canadian Tire Centre on Saturday serves as a reminder that the biggest piece of the playoff puzzle went missing along the way. Murray is expected to start for the Maple Leafs, his first appearance against the Senators since the grand plan in the crease went so sour.​

Also, the league has a pretty twisted sense of humour - we get Frederick L'Ecuyer, referee #17, back tonight. His partner is Brian Pochmara, #16, another lousy veteran ref. The good veteran refs are working games that aren't ours, of course. I'd rather have one of those 28 year old career minor league players who they have inexplicably decided to turn into referees...

He looked like last year Batherson.
protecting & hanging on to the puck really well then making plays & throwing his weight around.

The Sens will be hard pressed to put even one behind Murray tonight. If he's not motivated for this one then he should probably retire, and that Leafs team is going to want to protect him - lock down defense.

The Sens have shown that they don't care at all about protecting their young goalies, so I'd imagine the Leafs will light up 5.00gaard tonight.

While his minus rating sucks this yr he has put up 54 pts in 68 games & regardless that a chunk of that is on the PP we need them to score on the PP too. The better special teams are the better the team should be & will force other teams to be careful. I really like Batherson when he comes out hitting.

Batherson needs serious coaching to eliminate his risk-taking behaviours and make him a complete 2-way player.
