If you're the kind of person who's experienced the transition from the older bulkier TVs to the newer flatscreens and noticed the change in quality, the 4K is sort of like that for this generation.

Problem with it is sitting 8+ ft back from the screen and under 60" a good Plasma looks better especially for sports. Those LED LCD panels still aren't great for sports.

4K is awesome for projectors though. Then you want DLP anyways (like in theatres) and +60"
