Oven then stomach
His double standard is so obvious it's not even funny.

It can't be anymore obvious that Polak is done as an NHL player. Yet here is in our lineup yet again.
To be fair to Polak, he's returning from injury and coming to speed at a time where the opposition is already at full speed. His play should pick up. Also have to consider that he'll be PKing, which should take some load off of Hainsey.

My gut tells me the leafs will play a better game defensively tonight with Curtis in the net, out of fear.
Lol if Polak draws back in.
And Carrick looked way better than Zaitsev last night. Don’t understand the love for that guy. Gardiner-Carrick is a far more effective pairing.

I don't mind lineup changes on a back to back. Honestly, everyone who normally sits should get in there for fresh legs.

Now I wish there were different people on the roster, but that's a different discussion.

Lol. Polak was a monster for us down the stretch at the end of last season, and especially in the playoffs. Then he breaks his leg, plays a few games (with rust) and is apparently sooooooo obviously done as an NHL player. This whole website is suffers from memory loss.

I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say Roman has a strong game, eye-test wise, because quite frankly if a player plays well I dont give a shit about advanced stats.

his mistakes are almost always IQ based more than anything else. His stupid icings, horrible positioning, and bad giveaways are regular and have nothing to do with him being hurt

Oh I would love to see Sparks come up. I do think a trade is near, the question is with who, the for what is probably a defenseman, though many are not thinking of a center, I have been. Miro and Goat are the only two near the NHL that we have but they are 4th liners, so if we lose Bozak whether UFA or trade who comes up this year (if a trade happens). Do we replace him now? Basically bench Moore who has been horrible?

The backup goalie front is a position highly coveted right now. I think we need to take advantage while there are so many injuries league wide.

And yet i dont remember anything but gardiner errors in his last game with us.

Unless you want to fault him for passing to gardiner which caused jake to fall?

Whatever happened to that don’t be negative I’m GDT rule..

Hoping for another win, not sold on Polak but he deserved another shot. It’s easy to point to the teams record with him but I don’t think that’s all that fair to pin on him.

he's basically like adding another Gardiner only without the offensive + transition game. Sound good?

He got an opportunity and was awful, that's what counts not what he did last season or what happened to him injury wise

I also don't give a **** if he's got "intangibles" up the wazoo or he's a "gud pro"

You need to stop spending so much time in the trade forums.

Matthews is overdue for a hat trick.

He will score 3 tonight including the game winner. Leafs win 4-3 in OT.

Trade threads are really stupid, every team want to sell scraps for quality. People argue and fight over them as if they are the ones actually making the deal.

Oh I just check in for a laugh, but then get really mad. I even created a thread discussing trade bait. Apparently it is Nyland, Marner or the rest of our team is garbage. No matter how I word it, so many replies keep saying, we dont want trash for a top 4 D blah blah. Last I checked we are tied for 3rd OV and the Marlies are 1st OV...but we have garbage to give outside those 2...give me a damn break.

In that above deal, arguably Barkov is the best...right now though. Barkov took 2 years to get going in the path that he is in. What because Nylander and Marner started off slow. If they start putting those monster numbers up this year (again) then that is a moronic deal. Marner has come out of it, waiting on Nylander.

Agreed--for the most part. I offered JVR (with him signing), and Gardiner plus a pick or prospect for a top 4 and apparently that is still garbage LOL. People forget we got Kap for Kessel, and Kap is way better now than he ever was with Pitts. It just we are so deep on the wing he isnt up. Actually really he is not up because of Sosh's contract quirk

FUN FACT; Did Babcock tip the leafs hand last night? He said "we didnt call up Sosh to watch him for 2 games." So he either means a deal is coming where he plays more often, or Sosh himself is going to be dealt soon.

Hes more of a stay at home defenseman who clears the front of the net and instead of making shitty break out passes that result in bad turn overs, he ices the puck.

Sounds fine to me.

I really like Willie with JVR and Bozak. They seem dangerous every time they are out there. So you have 2 shooters, and one passer. I would like to see Brown get a shot on the Matthews duo with Marner. Just seems if Hyman is having an off game on the forecheck its one and done.
