Just put Martin - Moore - Hyman as the 4th line.

Martin plays 4 - 6 minutes. Moore and Hyman play around 8 depending on how many penalties we take.

The remaining 9 players are all good. Then we just have a craptacular 4th line, but as a result, guys like Matthews will get more ice time.

So that's the one good thing about having a horrible 4th line. The other 9 guys should get more ice time. When you have a really strong 4th line, it's hard give everyone enough minutes.

Babs quotes are getting really tired with how hypocritical they are. I’d rather him just keep saying that he’s the coach and that’s why the line ups are the way they are then the bs he spews about stealing a roster spot and performing when given a chance

Wish Leivo was still in tonight, but at least both him and Sosh aren't playing tonight, Sosh hasn't looked too impressive so far

playing last night means he meets the number of games played so we now have to put sosh on waivers if we want to send him down. So he is here to stay or risk him on waivers

God Polak is back in the lineup
Really?

That is not a surprise. Carrick, is still Carrick. Only made a small step forward.

The speedy teams give him trouble.

With Polak, the speedy teams give him trouble too, but he manages to still hit someone and make a play.

Carrick is getting close to that point of running out of last chances. He'll get another chance at the lineup. But he cannot stick, like the last time.

They are screwing around with Levio.

But they gave Levio a raise, when he could not even make the team.

A complicated situation.

Lets face it, if Levio was somewhere else, would that other coach think he is not fast enough and do the same thing?

All we should care about, is Carrick better than Polak and who helps win us more games?

If your answer is Polak you haven't been watching him this season, his skating has gone from sub par to God only knows a description of how bad it is

If you're really being objective, Carrick has been crap most of the season. Seriously, he's been a total mess in our own end, and his skating abilities rarely utilized. Polak isn't better, but he ain't really worse either, or at least you could cobble together a coherent argument to support it. Leivo being out is BS though.

That question, I don't have an opinion, as not really decided either way.

Clearly, they should play Carrick over Polak. How Polak is still in the league, that is his good timing. Right place right time.

Then again, this really is the 6th defenseman on the roster. Who is in who is out, probably won't make a big difference.

To me it's time to trade Bozak and slot Nylander in at centre on a sheltered 3rd line with JVR and and Marner.

Trade for the best pick you can (2nd? ) use as asset currency at the TDL to upgrade the most pressing need at that time.

I don't want Bozak being a matchup nightmare in the playoffs. Come on Lou it's time.

For those that don't think 42 is worth much right now. You're not wrong. Wade Redden him if you have to. Addition by subtraction.
Honestly, this seems like the worst time to give Willie more responsibility. He needs to find his game again, I don't think the brass are even contemplating that at all. If we trade Bozak it will most certainly be Marleau they move over, if he is agreeable.

holy **** 90 minutes. i do 30 minutes, sometimes 60 minutes and then do bicep curls and tricep curls for about 30 minutes

I do 35 minutes first 5 minutes warm up then 25 minutes on high resistance then 5 minutes cool down. It's so boring that in my mind it's a max workout in less time.

They say you shouldn't weight train after intense cardio. It's too tiring for your muscles and you won't get max benefit. I'm no expert though.

We will win a tight one if:
-They play the collapsing system like they did after California, disrupting a bunch of passes/shots, being first on the puck even on the PK, off of lost faceoffs
-Mac plays as he has to this point, adequate
-Holtby is usually good for one stinker against us for some reason

We will be destroyed if:
- Defencemen keep on giving it away with no pressure on them, no question about it they are spooked, or being told to do things they are incapable of
-The forwards keep treating passes in our end like a hot potato, excessive icings, and dump ins with no support which result in the easiest of exits for their defencemen
-We play the collapsing system like we have most of the year giving them so much space along the boards and on the points

Leivo, Sosh, Martin, even Dom Moore and Polak. All of these are slight tweaks. If they're the straw between a win and a collapse the team is in bigger trouble than I thought. Some of the most bitter threads on hfboards seem to involve fourth liners, last pairing D and backup goaltenders. But the fact remains the guys who never sit are the difference between a win or a loss.

Don't really like Leo in the top 9 at this point either. He should be 4th line and 1st unit PK. Bozak's been shitty and shouldn't be in the top 9 either.

Carrick was miles better than Polak, at the moment the bottom pair is functional, when Polak played with Borgman it was unusable and Borgman fell apart because he was the only guy on the pair that could move the puck

Polak was worse and just got benched because he couldn't play anymore, so I'd like to hear your coherent argument for him

It makes a difference if the bottom pair becomes borderline unusable again

Everyone seems to forget how many shots Polak blocks. He alone 'could' bring the shot total down.

Poor poor McElhinney.
You act like we shouldn't be saying that anyways. Polak hasn't played in weeks and I'd still say our goalies have gone through hell. I doubt it will do any favors having Polak in the lineup. But the team has been a defensive disaster lately. Polak isn't going to make them that much worse.
