Looking for a young center, just one?

EP40's value is plummeting on this team.
But
Look at JT Miller's resurgence. That helps that his prowess has started to return once away from this team, it suggests that EP40's play can have a similar resurrection.

There are teams that will want EP40 not just for this season but for various future reasons. Some teams need a featured player to sell tickets around. Some just need a shake up.

As long as Allvin doesn't hold out that EP40 is suddenly going to reverse the last 100+ games on this team an try to value him the same as McKinnon like players then I am sure a deal can be made before the TDL.

Even if the team is fighting for a WC spot lately EP40 hasn't been a driver of that run, in fact barely noticeable except for blocking shots and a notable defensive presence. Almost any replacement will be an addition at this point on this team.

The last couple of games the team looked more like a team without Hughes. Just an observation. Actually the team has won more when he has been out of the lineup.

Really should have just kept Tanner Pearson. May have prevented all this.

Richardson explained today that when leaving the Canucks in 2022, he told Patrik Allvin what needed to happen to get the most from Miller.

“I love J.T. Miller. He’s a great guy. I’d take him on my team. But I told [Allvin], you’ve got to surround a guy like J.T. Miller with veteran players, or you’re going to be f**ked,” said Richardson on the Missin Curfew podcast.

“That’s how you calm J.T. Miller down. You’ve got to have a veteran group that knows how to settle him down at the right times when he gets a little off the rails because he does. If you get him dialled in, he’s an unbelievable player, and he’s a great guy, but he needs veteran guys around him, or he gets squirrely.”

I know i did but I'm sure I'm not the only one who called that about Miller. I had wondered if the situation was salvageable by bringing in a veteran guy with clout who's main role would be to tell JT to shut the f*** up and sit the f*** down when needed.

Pretty embarrassing if 31-year-old Miller needs veteran guys to keep him in check.

Feels like he never matured. It's just that everything was going so well for him (i.e. won vs Horvat, Tocc's style of play and trust, 20% shooting for him and Brock, etc) that the worst part of him never showed up in his 103 pt season. It says a lot that once something didn't go well, he had to take a leave of absence and decided that it was time to move on.
