We had some Benning friendly mods that tolerated POM baiting people for years and banned anyone who called him out on his shilling.

PoM's game was to bait folks, you're right, but the people who took the bait were the ones who got infractions or whatever.

Folks who just refuted his nonsense, either by looking into his post history or sourcing their claims were/are roundly ignored by him because he couldn't play his stupid game.

Has this management group actually made us worse? When they took over we had Miller Pettersson and Horvat down the middle and Hughes. Now we just have Pettersson and Hughes.
You can certainly argue this. Kind of unfair to list Horvat but not Hronek though.

Hronek hasnt looked good away from Hughes an

Pettersson has yet to play a game for us.
Hronek away from Hughes is such a small sample size though

I like Pettersson but don’t consider him a core player, he’s like 1 tier below that so I agree that listing him doesn’t make sense until he proves otherwise.

Hronek hasn't looked good with Hughes this year either. Or the back half of last year when he refused to shoot and kept deferring to Hughes to move the puck.

Pettersson is also better than Hronek, imo.

Hronek is highly overrated. Benefits from playing with Hughes. Not sure why he is used in core piece discussion. There's a reason the Wings sold high on him when they had the chance.

As someone who at one time thought Hansen to be a core player, I have a rather broad definition of core player. Core player to me mostly means a player to build around. Hronek's contract suggests he's a core player whether you agree that he's a core player or not. He's who we have, who we acquired, and who we signed long term.

Red Wings sold high but like some Red Wings fans said at the time of the trade, Hronek is the type of Dman they want when it is time to contend. I don't think that opinion has changed. Hronek isn't some superstar RHD but he is above average and hard to acquire.
