Force halak to waive his NMC or bench him for the rest of the season in favor of Domingue. Trade him somewhere barren with a 5th attached.

Did nobody commit to memory that I defended the team pretty much singlehandedly against the entire board in the Pittsburgh series and I was right?

I haven't won Angriest Poster in like 7 years.

You guys have created a version of me in your heads that you like to be mad at.

I may have mentioned a couple of times last year that Igor had too much work. That take was about as hot as f***ing Pluto.

Shot attempts were 25-4 Rangers in the 3rd 5 on 5.

4.83-3.42 XG all situations.

I get the frustration, it sucks to lose, but the arguments of everyone sucks just seems weird. No one wants to hear it's bad luck right now, it just is. Maybe it will be 82 games of this, I doubt it, it will turn at some point and the Rangers will run off a 8-2 scoring a bunch of goals.
You are making too much sense. That's not allowed here. They lost so the world is ending and we suck.

we're just unlucky bro
No we suck and the season is over. Feel better now?

Also Halak is just plain bad. He has allowed some horrific goals and his 2 softies cost them the game tonight. 0-6 with a 3.2 GA and .864 save % is not going to get it done.

This is a fire alarm loss …
We have fallen back to the pack and we are getting worse …
Our best players are in their 30’s and our youth and razor thin depth give us balls ..
There’s nothing in Hartford - two of our top 12 belong in Hartford ; Blais & Carpenter- possibly even 4 - Gauthier & Jones .

Every move Drury makes is a bad one … he’s all alone too - no ex GM ‘s to sound off with no hockey Guy president no one …

He’s In over his head…

He mis read the league - he chose to stand Pat believing in whores like kravtsov.

His plan to squirrel up cap space - assets and cash to land Kane has backfired miserably.

Kane ? We need 2-3 more pieces to make the wild card let alone a cup run.

This is why hanging onto cap space last deadline was an asshole move .
It didn’t carry over.

He may very be faced with off loading a big salary here - Panarin etc.

The holes have become craters

The speed has evaporated.

The shine is off Gallant - he’s starting to look really beat up too behind the bench .

We’re in deep trouble and shit is around the corner .

Btw the guy we named captain is in serious decline .
His lack of right - left mobility is startling .
Kocur26 back with another banger
Great post aside from the Kravtsov slander

Frankly, I don't even know what the analytics were in this game.

"Oh Machinehead and his analytics."

If you can't SEE with your eyeballs that the Rangers had the puck in the offensive zone the entire game, then you either need to reassess how you evaluate the game or, more likely, you saw what you wanted to see.
Yep. They absolutely caved in the Anaheims by any measure. Shit happens. This is not the loss to be upset about. Though Halak has been pretty crummy, but they should have had way more than two goals. Not seeing the reason for panic in this one and certainly not gonna criticize the coach.
I do hope they put VK in next game. Though Carpenter, Vesey, Gauthier have been excellent. Maybe Blais needs to sit a bit. He has been ok but just a little break couldn’t hurt. He’s still getting his game together.

When Jacob Trouba leads your team in shots and shot attempts at 5v5 by a fairly substantial margin that is not a good thing.

Got goalied(ours stinks) and posted?

Fox playing 25 min in the back end of a B2B because no other dman has any real offensive capability
All Rangers d are offensive

Here’s what’s troubling with Gallant.
Beginning of last season “well Fox isn’t going to be playing 25 minutes a night. “
Yet here we are.
Beginning of this season “we’re not going to be developing players…”
Gallant believes that the team that overachieved, was carried the whole year on Shesterkins back and a team that had Copp and Vatrano to round out their top 6 is this year’s team.
This team needs game management not burning out your stars and denying ice time to his developing players.
At times it seems like his top two lines and Fox are skating with their uniforms soaked in petroleum jelly.
21 games in and signs of fatigue.
No Bueno.
I don't think they have played that many minutes to be concerned. Every team plays it's best players more minutes. There have been a lot of complaints actually about how many minutes the 3rd pairing and 4th line gets by Gallant.

Yep. It’s mind-blowing but I think that’s it. There have been some bad games but lately it’s mostly just bad luck, hot goaltending, refs blocking passes …bizarreness. Gotta keep calm. I think it’ll get better soon. They’ve been mixing up the attack a bit better and the defense has been very solid.

I do want the kids to play more, but it’s a matter of a couple more shifts per game. It’s not worth stressing about. Happy thanksgiving y’all!

Kravtsov is a whore? That's a new one.

Yeah. Fox can play 30 mins/game. He’s fine. The idea that one or two extra shifts per period is a life and death pivot is silly. I’d like to find about 17min/game for the kid line players but, indeed, gallant leaning on the big guys in a tight game is far from outrageous.

Much better performance than last game. I didn't get cised for one play against the Kings. Tonight we were dangerous out there.

Was at the game.

1. Halak gave up two bad goals. Terrys shot was great but Halak was down for no reason and looking the wrong way. Just bad.

2. Panarin. He is just as responsible for the 3rd goal as Halak. He had multiple opportunities to get the puck out of the zone or get it deep and failed each time. In general he is making terrible decisions all over the ice. It’s far worse in person than on TV. And whenever he’s on the ice he’s handed the puck and deferred to. And it’s just causing such a problem 5v5. The PP is similarly hurting because it’s just the Fox and Panarin show and otherwise static. Same 6v5. Panarin was actually decent in the first period because he was bothering to get the puck deep. He was managing the puck like the rest of the team. But after the first, and once we went down, he reverted.

3. When we dumped it we retrieved it like 80% of the time. Or we were on the PP. Yet somehow we stopped doing that as the game wore on. Panarin the biggest culprit. I was actually shocked at how well we did at retrieval across the board. So it was even more frustrating that we became far less consistent with it.

4. Did our coaching staff instruct the forwards to not block shots? They are never in the lanes. We are getting eaten alive by point shots and traffic in front. Almost universally so. Not only do the forwards not get in lanes but our D get real scrambly when point shots get thru. Seriously though, have we instructed forwards to avoid blocking point shots? If this isn’t intentional it would be shocking at this point.

5. As for Gibson. He made some great saves. But we never take the opposing goalies eyes away. There were multiple times where our forwards literally left the net front when point shots happened instead of parking in front. And we literally scored one of the two goals due to a screenshot. And we literally had 2 goals last night from netfront plays. I don’t get why we are allowing goalies to see shots so consistently. Again, it’s like we are allergic to both netfronts.

6. Kakko. Looked absolutely dominant for sections of the game. But again the breakaway. After he missed it (because he’s not shooting) he went into a funk for a while. His decision making, his game slowed down a bit and he didn’t fully regain form. Kids gotta work through that.

This team could be downright dominant if they consistently did the little things right. Block shots, screen goalies, get pucks deep, get pucks out, puck support, protect netfront —- but they are deeply inconsistent. They refuse to play consistent honest hard working hockey. And they are consistently paying for it. Halak and Panarin tho, woof. Big woof. Someone needs to talk to Panarin and find out what’s going on. Mentally he is soooooo off.

And F Vally for saying the Kings game was some inflection point. Same BS next night.

Really that's the only positive right now. The entire league is mediocre except for like 3-4 teams

So, maybe it's simply the covid cap that is really starting to bite teams now, not only the Rangers, leaving holes in the roster and long term construction problems difficult to fix. Also the schedule is bizarre with lots of backs to backs. This season feels odd.
