i've been screaming this for years. This franchise babied them, they were given everything they wanted and then they simply don't show up. at all. like I'm sorry I don't care. I've said you know if they want to sit out, sit them out. I said before the second contract pick one and trade the other. . Everyone here wants to poop on Tavares and just give Auston the captaincy like he earned it but apparently that's what we're supposed to do just give it to him , like this fool has ever put this team on his back. You know I didn't realize that yesterday was the anniversary 12 years ago of the Boston 4-1 game w/Kessel and Phaneuf. and as much as we rode that team, as much as as they pissed as off, as childish as they were for that stupid salute gate i can't sit here and tell you if they had a craptacular game, they at least had the decency to look embarrassed. To be mad. Phaneuf would spout the rheoretic but he was upset, you could tell. Kessel was always a PPG player so it was never HIS fault.
Let's go down some. Mats Sundin would have murdered someone to have someone with the talent of Marner on his wing, we all remember Jonas Hoglund right? How many times Mats looked frustrated and ticked off when the team didn't perform well. Roberts, and Niewuendyk. we didn't do well, they'd let you know. McCauley had more guts in his pinky than Matthews and Marner have in their entire body.
and the thing is. we're still stuck with matthews. now I don't know. Maybe all he needs is his Yzerman moment. Maybe someone just simply needs to tell him what do you want. Do you want to WIN? Do you want to be GREAT or do you just want this? someone who scores a bucket full of goals in the regular season and is a pathetic piece of poo when it matters. because let's be fair maybe tha's all it is.
