We have 8 years of evidence as to why the result of one game matters when it is the same core that has failed every year of its existence.

That said, I am all for a comeback epic seven game series win.

I think the mood around here will be very different by late Sunday night.

Honestly, this is the kind of shit that SHOULD NOT BE ALLOWED, but the NHL is okay with it because it's the Florida Panthers.

This series was over when Stolarz went down. Bennett knew what he was doing, and Bettman just smirks in the pressbox.

I completely understand that it's easy to take that position after a game like this. Keep in mind that Florida lost 8-0 and 5-1 to Edmonton in the Cup final, and still won game 7. The result of one game doesn't carry over to the next.

- the extremely lopsided score is more likely to wake them up than a 3-2 loss

- almost everyone timed their bad game to coincide with each other. We didn't waste the one goal Matthews MIGHT still have in him, or the one that Nylander/Tavares MIGHT still have. They couldn't have helped.
