Screw that. I've said this before, the Oilers at this point shouldn't be scared to play anybody (neither should the fanbase). Time to take on any challenge and not fear it. But yes, cheer for L.A. to beat Calgary because.... Calgary smells.
Screw that. I want the easiest path to the Cup possible.

Yeah, they were missing Doughty last year and have since improved their roster.
Thats a tight 7 game series in the making.
Honestly I wouldn’t be confident in that series at all. Our strength is our offense and the Kings are designed to completely neutralize that. Stupid McLellan and his 1-3-1.

Me too. If all of Boston, Minnesota, Colorado and LA are gone in round one, it makes our path a lot easier. Still not easy of course, there are 3 teams in the East I would still be worried about, plus upsets are always possible - but it would still be easier.

The Kings have given up a lot of goals for a team that is supposed to be so solid defensively. I think the Oilers could lose a series to either team, home ice is the priority.

I hope that we beat the brakes off of them so bad that Karlsson will only accept a trade to us this offseason so that Grier is over a barrel.

L.A. is an excellent team, not trying to diminish that, but the Oilers now have Ekholm and a bottom 6 that is light years better than the one last playoffs. Plus a healthy Drai (forgot when Mikey Anderson did him dirty) and a healthy Nurse. My biggest question is Skinner's inexperience and if Campbell can get back on track. Vinny on the bottom pair is a question mark as well but it's not a critical hole.
I too think it would be a war of a series but.... bring it on.

I don’t know why but I laughed at this.

Start Campbell but just give him a collar and no leash.

See what happens.

Dont think team can even bring him up unless theres an injury. 2 players would have to go down. Holloway makes more than Shore. Playing remainder of year in Bakersfield is probably good for Holloway at this point though.
Wasn’t sure on ruling
Thx

Hope they keep their feet moving and help out Campbell gaining some confidence. McDrai points and a solid D would be nice, we're playing the Sharks 2 more times this season, so might be smart to stomp them right away.
I didn't know Derrick Pouliot is still playing in the NHL, top pairing with Erik Karlsson, alrighty. :snide:

Go Oilers!
