You can’t send Broberg down. Woody already talked about it in a recent presser. They’ve used up 2 of their 4 post deadline transactions, so if you flip Broberg and Demers, you’re now out of moves for the rest of the season

Devil’s advocate, but who would they look to call up anyways? The guy I would give a cup of coffee to makes an smidge too much money to be recalled. Emergency recall due to injury would still be a thing if we ran into injuries and used up all 4 of the post deadline recalls.

So if we win 9-8 tonight will those guys come back out of the woodwork claiming Campbell is the #1 goalie and saying ’Jack gets the ’dubs’ ? Or is that nonsense finally officially over with?

Honestly those callups mean nothing, as soon as you use them up you can just call guys up on an emergency basis anyway.

Just look at what Toronto is doing

We win the division, Calgary makes it into the playoffs by some miracle and then we light up Markstrom like an Xmas tree and there is much joy for all. The Knights and the Kings murder each other in seven games and we circle like vultures and feast upon the scraps of whichever is left. The Avs await us for a rematch, this time we are more prepared.

Hmmmmmmm
I’ll say it, probably take some shit on here but would like to see him challenge Yamo. . Big body, wheels. Wish he shot right

Dont think team can even bring him up unless theres an injury. 2 players would have to go down. Holloway makes more than Shore. Playing remainder of year in Bakersfield is probably good for Holloway at this point though.

Even more reason why Holland should have brought in a vet for the 3rd pairing. I think it's a mistake having Vinny as an everyday player in an "all in" season and possibly an even bigger mistake Broberg being stuck in limbo without any playing time the rest of the season outside of the odd man game when Vinny might sub out for him.

LA vs Calgary tonight.

Cheer for LA so the Oilers can clinch sooner and so that they overtake Vegas for first so we don’t have to play the Kings in the first round.
Screw that. I've said this before, the Oilers at this point shouldn't be scared to play anybody (neither should the fanbase). Time to take on any challenge and not fear it. But yes, cheer for L.A. to beat Calgary because.... Calgary smells.

Yeah kind of sucks. Ran out of cap space. Would of been nice to even find someone who makes league minimum that has some experience as a RD just as some extra protection. Oh well, Demers will save us if we get to that point. :p

Hey, if Campbell plays well, I'm all for those conversations. I'd have almost any conversation out there if it meant Campbell played well for us, ha ha.

Knights are just as hot. I think the Kings are overrated. I have the Oilers as favourites against either team, but I think the Kings are worse.
The Kings have improved a lot that's for sure. That said EDM has improved more since last year as well. With JP gone suddenly the bottom 6 has woken up (imagine that) and the addition of Ekholm was huge. So I think if they faced each other it would not go 7 games like last year.

I agree that we shouldn't fear any teams at this point,, but it isn't fear about some teams. The playoffs are long, injuries happen, and we know first-hand what happens when LA starts to lose - they get dirty. I don't want to play LA, not because I think we can't beat them, but because I want to hit the next opponent with as few injuries as possible. That's why I want to play Seattle, in a perfect world. They don't have as many guys known for dirty play as LA does. And the closest thing they have to a Doughty is Larsson, and while I'm still a fan, that's like the AliExpress version of Doughty right there.

"Hey we should win this game"
Oilers show up the same as they did against the Ducks and Blue Jackets
(4 hours later)
To hell with it, we're missing the playoffs, and if we do make it, we're losing in 4. No heart, bunch of skids, rabble rabble rabble.
