Surprised there’s so little discussion about this kid. Big and physical with an outstanding motor, he’s a total puck hound for Canada at the WJC, who just overwhelms defenders. Pretty good skill level too, especially his skating, but solid hands, shot and IQ.

I’m a Leafs fan, don’t like the Sens, but I can still see the obvious upside with this kid. He’s gonna be an impact NHLer in the next few years. Reminds me of Marcus Foligno (who I’m also a big fan of, criminally underrated player who makes a WAY bigger impact than you’d guess from his scoring numbers).

He reminds me of the Nick Paul of today (not the one that took 10 years to get here). Probably has more speed to his game.

Really if you were to come up with the prototype for a 3C, it would be him. I like that he can play basically anywhere in the lineup though.

We're trying to lowkey fly him under the radar so to take his name out of trade perposals. His depth with Boucher and Grieg is needed in our forward position.

Sens fans are humble and dont like to brag about prospects :sarcasm:

My god, these prices are ridiculous! Good for the Giants though!

This will be his first year in the American League. If he is able to start the year on the 2nd line. We will quickly know what his potential will be and his possible role with the Senators. A good impression at training camp this fall will open the doors for him.

He will have an outside shot at a job, especially if Pinto isn’t signed, but I think they will take a slow approach with him (as has been done with every non-top 5 pick besides Pinto). He should get games within a year tho

Do Sens fans expect him to be a full time Sen next season?
Yes. He's already pretty much secured his spot. I'm not sure what happens when (IF) Perron comes back. But right now, he's a capable 4th line center; big body who can skate and decent defensive game. Not much offense yet; but there's potential. I'd be shocked if he didn't have a permanent spot to start next season.
