Also, he takes pauses when he speaks Finnish also. So maybe that's just how he talks? :dunno:

People from Häme are notoriously slow talkers. Barkov is another example. Doesn't mean they are dumb, they just measure their words carefully.

So I find it disturbingly plausible that the guidance from the PR guy (if there is one) was that "Pate, America's gonna call you about quarter past two, so put your alarm on at least ten past. And fo'chrissake see that you have your bed made!"

It's new rule. They must play with full face mask even when they turn 18. I don't know if it was even untill 20 year a some point, but now it seems to be untill the end of year they turn 18 or something.

In Finland, you barely remember those cage rules unless you follow junior series, because top prospects get to play without cage even in their 16's, because in FEL the rules are same for every one, for underagers too.

In the picture of that article, it looks like he has deleted ear protection (or is it just the way has his helmet) and doesnt wear neck protector. Tough kid! :yo:
 
Laine with a dangerous one timer from the slot. Like the way he looks on the PP where he goes to find openings in space. You have to remind yourself this kid just turned 18.
 
Laine doing things on ice that Matthews cant do. Matthews was stellar. Laine and Aho both were ahead tonight.
 
I only watched from 3rd period and Laine was great. Was playing well in own zone and great in offensive. I'd even argue he was better than Matthews who had few good rushes (and that amazing kick pass in corner).
 
You could see in this game that Laine has played Lw, no idea why Jalonen tried to play him Rw.
