Point's don't matter much IMO in this meaningless tourney.
Creating opportunists is much more important, and he had multiple.
Great for him.

Yeah I agree. Same thing could be said about Podkolzin.

STEAL for the second round.

Two years from now, people are going to have him 15th - 20th when they do a redraft for his draft year.

Guy is going to be a legit 50 pt, second line winger with character and two-way play

This kid has some potential. I like some of what I'm seeing from our forward prospects specifically Podkolzin, Hoglander, Madden, and Lind.

Unlikely, but if the Canucks can have a regular top 6 of

Miller - Pettersson - Boeser

Hoglander - Horvat - Podkolzin

going forward, i like the style of the players on the 2nd line vs the 1st line. Lots of grit and skill combination.

Hoglander scores a Michigan and you’re already pencilling him into our future top 6? IMO Lind or Madden have a much higher chance of becoming a top 6 player. Hoglander has loads of skill and abilities but after watching him this year he leaves a lot to be desired. Really needs to simplify his game and start making better decisions with and without the puck, because right now I don’t see high end hockey IQ. I think he’d be a perfect 3rd liner on a contender if he reaches his potential.

Please reread what I said.

"Unlikely".

I put that for a reason so I wouldn't get a redundant comment like this, but I guess people don't read.

Redundant? From what I'm seeing on here (not just you, your comment was just the one I responded to) all of a sudden Hoglander is a steal and a surefire top 6 forward. Here is one right here:

Why is it redundant? He hasn't looked like a first-round-caliber prospect this season yet this goal changes things? I don't get it.

It was a stylistical potential top 6. I like the styles of Hoglander and Podkolzin if they were to reach their ceilings, or even become 2nd line guys in alongside Horvat. That's all it was.

Don't make something out to be something it wasn't so you can get likes from opposing team fans that think you are oh so humble to not be overrating Canucks prospects. Not once have I called Hoglander a steal. I was simply making a stylistic top 6. Obviously I shouldn't have because it was a huge issue.

This is the best goal I've seen in awhile.

But to temper expectations, I'd expect a guy of Hoglander's style and size to have to produce at about a .75 PPG in the SHL to get into the conversation about being significant in the NHL. He's currently at .4. Hopefully he turns it up a notch.
