I think that ship has sailed. Oilers would be best served to find a 2nd pairing upgrade on Ceci this summer. If the Oilers are still interested in EK65 I hope he's included in any deal
I suppose. But, one never knows. I found it encouraging that EK65 agreed to waive to play in EdmontonI think that ship has sailed. Oilers would be best served to find a 2nd pairing upgrade on Ceci this summer.
When did he agree to waive?I suppose. But, one never knows. I found it encouraging that EK65 agreed to waive to play in Edmonton
Supposedly before the trade deadline. Sorry no link. I'm on my phone and have yet to figure that outWhen did he agree to waive?
3+2, +3 with 10 shots on goal, n his last 5 games in the AHL.
Yes but the only withdrew recently and all the franchises basically re-branded to something with the same menu items just called something different. So they may have a McFlurry variant. They don’t have McDonalds in Russia

He had a solid hot streak not all that long ago. The odds of him panning out are against him but I wouldn't write him off just yet.All that hype and it hasn't worked for him in the AHL. Not even .5PPG in his second AHL season.
Yet another Russian forward who goes the NA route and busts. I'm shocked.
I feel bad for the Oilers. A wasted pick. These NHL teams need to stop picking these kids. Make them go undrafted and then we'll stop seeing them cross the pond so early.
This is a weird takeAll that hype and it hasn't worked for him in the AHL. Not even .5PPG in his second AHL season.

Pretty sure we’re not lamenting the waste of a 6th round pick, the fact that Petrov is already at where he is today, is more than most 6th rounders. All that hype and it hasn't worked for him in the AHL. Not even .5PPG in his second AHL season.

He was the first pick in the CHL import draft. Twice a 90 point scorer in the CHL. Go read the prior pages of this thread.Pretty sure we’re not lamenting the waste of a 6th round pick, the fact that Petrov is already at where he is today, is more than most 6th rounders.
And the story ain’t over with him yet.
And a 6th is pennies to pay for that kind of profile. He was the first pick in the CHL import draft. Twice a 90 point scorer in the CHL. Go read the prior pages of this thread.
A lot more was expected of him by a lot of people.

I made that the issue because it is a big issue.I like how you made this a "Russian" issue when collectively in that draft, all players from round 6 and 7 combined have 5 nhl games and 1 point.
